Vincent Vega is a professional hitman in Los Angeles, the brother of Vic Vega, and partner of Jules Winnfield. While employed by mob boss Marsellus Wallace, Vincent and his partner Jules retrieve a stolen briefcase from an associate of Marsellus, killing him afterwards. After taking a hostage, Marvin, from the scene, Vincent accidentally shoots Marvin in the face. Vincent and Jules stop by a friend's house to wait for Marsellus' cleaner The Wolf to help them sort out the problem, and then give the briefcase to Marsellus.
The next day, Vincent is tasked to escort Marsellus' wife Mia out to dinner while he is out of town. The pair return to Vincent's house and she accidentally overdoses on heroin he had bought that day, mistaking it for cocaine. Vincent rushes to his dealer's house and they manage to bring her back to life, ending that night's danger. The next morning, Vincent is hired to kill Butch Coolige for not throwing a fight, only to get ambushed by Coolige after using the restroom and getting shot.
