Megalograptus is a genus of eurypterid, an extinct group of aquatic arthropods. Fossils of Megalograptus have been recovered in deposits of Katian (Late Ordovician) age in North America. The genus contains five species: M. alveolatus, M. ohioensis, M. shideleri, M. welchi and M. williamsae, all based on fossil material found in the United States. Fossils unassigned to any particular species have also been found in Canada. The generic name translates to "great writing" and originates from the mistaken original belief that Megalograptus…

Anomalocaris ("unlike other shrimp", or "abnormal shrimp") is an extinct genus of radiodont, an order of early-diverging stem-group arthropods. It is best known from the type species A. canadensis, found in the Stephen Formation (particularly the Burgess Shale) of British Columbia, Canada. The species A. daleyae is known from the somewhat older Emu Bay Shale of Australia. Other undescribed remains are known from China and the United States. The more well known species, A. canadensis is one of the largest animals of the Cambrian, and thought to be one of the earliest examples of an apex predator.

Eras and Epochs: A Season through Geologic Time
Inspired by GardenofSound's Dunkleosteus vs Xiphactinus, I thought to myself something along the lines of: "what if I could make an entire season through every major period of time I can get an animal for?" Well, guys, gals and nonbinary pals after around a month and a half of slowly making a list of potential animals and even more slow matchmaking, I have finally finished it. From the Cambrian to the Pleistocene, all of these periods will be explored to see which to see...
WHICH IS DEADLIEST?!?!?
And because I want to build suspense, I will be only revealing one period a day. So today will be a reveal of the Cambrian battle, tomorrow will be the Ordovician and so on and so forth. Also special thanks to Carnivora for a lot of help giving me …
Ashanti vs Maori
Guess who's back, back again.
The Ashanti Empire was a state that lasted from 1701 to 1901, in what is now modern-day Ghana. It expanded from the Ashanti Region to include most of Ghana as well as parts of Ivory Coast and Togo. Osei Tutu oversaw a massive Ashanti territorial expansion, building up the army by introducing new organisation and turning a disciplined royal and paramilitary army into an effective fighting machine. In 1701, the Ashanti army conquered Denkyira, giving the Ashanti access to the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean coastal trade with Europeans, notably the Dutch.
