Okay, so here's how my match-ups will work. There is the usual voting procedure, though I will count well thought-out supporting arguments for a character as an extra .5 votes PER REGISTERED USER. This means that, say, MrPacheco could make one good point for Link, Omnicube would make one for Kelsier, MrPacheco would make a valid cointerpoint, while an anon makes a valid one. Link would get an extra .5 votes to his total, while Kelsier would also get .5. In addition, I will start out a match bised towards one combatant or another; that warrior will win in case of a tie, and the battle will be on that warrior's hoome turf, no matter. If the comments section convinves me that the other warrior is better, that warrior will win in the event of a tie.
For this match-up, we have the Hero of Time, Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, versing the Survivor of Hathsin, Kelsier from the Mistborn Trilogy. Link, pictured above, brings his signature sword and shield: the Hylian Shield and the Master Sword. He also makes use of the magic known as "Din's Fire" to burn his foes. Kelsier, who is a character in a written book and therefore lacks a picture, brings some special weapons: Allomantic Daggers, specially made glass daggers wieghted for throwing that can go toe-to-toe with a steel sword, and three allomantic powers: the Ironpull, which pulls any objects made of metal towards the user, the Steelpush, which pushes metal ojects away, and the ability to Burn Atium, which allows the user to see the moves made by opponents in the near future. All of these powers are limited by how much of those metals he has to Burn.
Link won with 4.5 votes to Kelsier's two. He'll go in a match against Cervantes later today after the battle is up.
