Whether you're on an epic globe-spanning journey for fortune and glory or wrongfully locked up in the craziest and most dangerous prison in the world, it never hurts to have a guide. Sometimes, the best of guide comes in the form of a savvy and seasoned big sister-type companion; she's always got your back and and is unfailingly ready to lend you a hand - or two, or three, or four. Two such ladies are Ermes Costello, Jolyne's hot-blooded gal pal from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Nico Robin, the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece! But who is DEADLIEST?
Ermes Costello[]
“ | There's gonna be people who say that revenge isn't gonna bring back my sister. They don't get it. Others will say forgiveness is what matters. But I sure as hell don't want to live my life forcing myself to forget the fact that my sister was thrown away in a fucking gutter!

Ermes Costello grew up in a Florida slum. Her sister, Gloria, witnessed a murder committed by mafioso Sports Maxx and was killed to cover it up. For a minor crime, Maxx was sent to Green Dolphin Street Prison. Seeking revenge, Ermes deliberately got herself arrested and imprisoned. In prison, Ermes befriended Jolyne Cujoh. She also developed a Stand, a manifestation of her fighting spirit. Ermes's friendship with Jolyne pulled her into the conflict between Jolyne's father, Jotaro, and Pucci, a disciple of Jotaro's old enemy, DIO. Ermes eventually confronted and killed Sports Maxx, avenging Gloria. Jolyne escaped with her allies to stop Pucci's plan to reset the universe. Jolyne and most of her allies, including Ermes, died in the fight against Pucci. Pucci was killed by Emporio Alniño, the lone survivor. Pucci was foiled and the new universe was an ordinary world where the group's alternate counterparts lived in peace.
- Kiss: Kiss is Ermes's Stand, a manifestation of her fighting spirit. When active, Kiss appears as a hovering ethereal humanoid. Stands are invisible to ordinary people and phase through mundane objects. Any damage that Kiss receives will be visited upon Ermes herself, and vice versa. Kiss is a short-ranged Stand and can only travel a few meters from Ermes.
- Duplicating Stickers: Ermes and Kiss can produce small lipstick-marked stickers in the palms of their hands. When one of these stickers is applied to an object, an exact copy of the object will be produced. If a sticker is used on a person's body part, a second body part will sprout and be perfectly functional. When the sticker is removed or destroyed, the affected objects will spring toward each other and fuse back into one object, regardless of outside forces. The impact of the fusion will damage the object a create a fissure.
- Superhuman Strength and Speed: Kiss also has incredible strength and speed. When Ermes defeated Sports Maxx, Kiss dealt him hundreds of punches and kicks in seconds, deforming his body and sending him flying. Ermes defeated Rikiel by having Kiss punch him hard enough to bury his head in the ground.
- Superhuman Physicality: Ermes is tough enough to fight through far more damage than any human could possibly handle. One Stand ripped out Ermes's liver, yet she lived long enough for Jolyne to reverse the damage. During the battle against Sports Maxx, dozens of zombies brutally ripped out chunks of Ermes's flesh, yet she remained fighting long enough to win. She also appears to possess a degree of superhuman speed, as she proved capable of punching and kicking at speeds comparable to Kiss.
- Competent Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Unlike many Stand-users, Ermes is not content to stand by and let her Stand do the fighting for her. She’s no martial artist, but Ermes knows how to throw a good punch or kick. She can also give herself extra arms and legs, multiplying her strength at the cost of suffering the pain of her limbs fusing later.
Nico Robin[]
“ | To live... I thought it was something I dared not wish for. No one ever let me wish for it. If... it's really okay for me to utter my wish for once... I... I want to live! Take me to sea with you!
— Nico Robin

Born on the island of Ohara, "Devil Child" Nico Robin loved history since childhood. Behind her teacher's backs, Robin gained the outlawed knowledge of how to read the poneglyphs, carvings with information on the Void Century, an era that the World Government wanted to erase from history. When the World Government learned of this, the Marines razed Ohara, leaving Robin the only survivor. With a bounty on her head, Nico Robin wandered the Grand Line, ingratiating herself with pirate crews for safety. While using the alias "Miss All Sunday," Robin encountered the Straw Hat Pirates and tentatively joined them. Robin grew to genuinely care for them and surrendered to the Marines to protect them. After learning the truth, the Straw Hats declared war on the World Government and saved Robin. Seeing the lengths her friends went to for her, Robin found a fresh lease on life with her new crew.
- Flower-Flower Fruit: Consuming the Flower-Flower Fruit gave Robin the power to sprout copies of her body parts from any surface she could control. Uses of this ability include sprouting arms on her opponents' bodies to disarm and restrain them, creating eyes for spying, sprouting legs to move objects, and growing many arms on top of one another to form nets or ropes. Robin can create up to one hundred body parts at once and remove them at any time. Damage these copied parts receive will be transferred to Robin's actual body. Like all Devil Fruit-users, Robin is weak to seawater, and being mostly immersed in it for too long drains her strength.
- Superhuman Physicality: Robin is an anime/manga character, so she is stronger, faster, and tougher than any human could be. Typically, she requires only a few sprouted arms to defeat beings with colossal strength; for example, she restrained a fish-man with ten times the strength of an average human with only four arms. Her quick reflexes allow her to evade and attack fighters who can easily dodge shots from black powder weapons. Most impressive is her durability; she's been cleanly impaled on Crocodile's hook, blasted by two hundred million volts of electricity, and crushed against a wall by a charging elephant, yet found the strength to continue fighting each time.
- Skilled Martial Artist: To complement her abilities, Robin seems to possess a considerable amount of knowledge of martial arts. By creating arms on or near her opponents, she subjugates them with brutal and precise submission holds or even by breaking their bones. She knows which weak points to target to eliminate threats with minimal effort.
- Expert Assassin: Having been on the run from the World Government since childhood, Robin has survived by learning situational awareness, cunning, stealth, and ruthlessness - the requisite skills of an assassin. She is an expert at remaining unnoticed, escapology, and attacking at the exact moment her enemy is most vulnerable. Whether or not she has ever actually assassinated anyone remains to be seen.
X-Factors[]
Experience
Ermes was a stranger to Stands, their users, and combat before arriving at Green Dolphin Street Prison. Once she acquired Kiss, she immediately proved a capable fighter and used it to defeat Thunder McQueen, a self-destructive Stand-user bent on murder-suicide. After teaming up with Jolyne, she battled against Foo Fighters and DIO's sons, all of which possessed unusual powers that Ermes needed to quickly adapt to. She also fought Sports Maxx and his army of invisible zombies, defeating the murderer with a little help from F.F. and Jolyne. She fought in the final battle against Pucci, but the mad priest proved too powerful and Ermes was quickly killed.
Since she was a young child, Nico Robin has been running with pirate crews in the Grand Line, an incredibly dangerous place filled with pirates, Devil Fruit-users, giant monsters, and worse. Before teaming up with the Straw Hats, Robin worked her way to the top of Baroque Works, a massive criminal organization. With the Straw Hat Pirates, she typically left the heavy lifting to the immensely powerful Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji and typically being left to handle the canon fodder or provide support to the other members. She did have a notable battle against Yama, an immensely strong enforcer whom she soundly defeated.
Tactics
Kiss's unusual ability requires plenty of creativity to be effective and Ermes is a natural improviser. Kiss's stickers can be used to set up traps - causing an enemy to be trapped between two fusing objects, for example. Ermes can also use Kiss on herself to grant herself extra limbs to increase her strength or create decoy body parts to minimize incoming damage. Ermes excels at exploiting all of Kiss's potential in the heat of the moment and changing her plans in response to new information. Once an opening presents itself, Ermes will eagerly beat her opponents senseless and ensure they won't be a threat in the future.
Among the monstrously powerful Grand Line denizens, Robin is one of the weaker Devil Fruit-users. Thus, she prefers surprise attacks to direct combat. When forced to fight, Robin quickly and pragmatically debilitates her enemy by placing them in inescapable holds or breaking their bones. She can also use her power to strike weak points, alter the environment, and improve her defense strength. Robin is an expert at reading people; she can quickly assess her opponents' powers and is one of the few people who can anticipate Monkey D. Luffy's nutty mind.
Notes[]
- The battle takes place in a forest.
- As the Flower-Flower Fruit has nothing to do with vision, souls, or fighting spirit, Robin will not be able to see Kiss.
- Ermes is as she appears before the final battle with Pucci. Robin is as she appears after the Enies Lobby arc.
- Voting ends whenever.
