Once upon a time, there was a yellow-clad asshole who fucked around with time. Being the sociopath dickhead that he was, this fellow used his power to torment one particular family for no other reason than the fact that he was a massive hater. This person was a horrible villain, but if you stop and think about it for a while, you will realize that this villain was right about everything! Today's two combatants are both fervent disciples of that yellow asshole and are determined to enact their cruel dreams upon the world with superhuman speed. They are Enrico Pucci, the mad priest from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Zoom, the living temporal anomaly from DC Comics! Who is DEADLIEST?
Enrico Pucci[]
“ | The idea of Heaven... Humans should spend their lives trying to attain Heaven. That is the beauty of humans.
— Enrico Pucci

As a young priest, Enrico Pucci learned his brother had been stolen at birth and named Wes Bluemarine. Wes dated Pucci's sister Perla, but Pucci couldn't reveal the truth due to the seal of confession. To break them up, Pucci hired private detectives. The racist detectives assaulted Wes when they realized his stepfather was black. Perla committed suicide believing Wes had died. Pucci befriended the vampire DIO and learned of his plan to create a world where everyone knew their destiny. After DIO's death, Pucci vowed to fulfill DIO's dream and murder his killer, Jotaro Kujo. Pucci framed Jotaro's daughter, Jolyne, and followed her to prison. With her allies, including Wes, Jolyne defeated Pucci's minions. Pucci gained the power to reshape the universe and killed Jotaro and most of Jolyne's allies. Jolyne sacrificed herself for her last friend, Emporio Alniño, who killed Pucci, resetting the universe to an ordinary state.
- Made in Heaven: Made in Heaven is the final form of Pucci's Stand, a manifestation of his fighting spirit. Stands are ethereal entities that, when summoned, hover near their users and fight on their behalf. They are invisible to ordinary people and can phase through mundane objects. Made in Heaven appears as a thin, masculine humanoid fused at the waist to the front end of a horse. Any damage Made in Heaven receives will be visited upon Pucci himself and vice versa. Made in Heaven is a short-ranged Stand and can only travel a few meters from Pucci. It is the perfected form of Pucci's power over gravitational forces.
- Superhuman Strength: Like many humanoid Stands, Made in Heaven possesses superhuman strength. With a simple knifehand strike, it can cleave a person's skull apart or sever their limbs. It overpowered and ripped apart Stone Free, a Stand strong enough to bend metal and deflect meteorites.
- Time Acceleration: As long as Made in Heaven exists, time accelerates for everything except living beings. This renders ordinary people unable to react to non-biological events. Pucci and Made in Heaven are exceptions; thus, they appear to move at superhuman speeds. From Pucci's perspective, the world is slowing down, granting him ample time to adapt to changing conditions. Shortly after Made in Heaven's activation, a group of skilled Stand-users, capable of reacting swiftly to point-blank gunfire and executing hundreds of punches and kicks within seconds, found themselves completely defenseless against its overwhelming speed. It killed Narciso Anasui, Jotaro Kujo, and Ermes Costello in swift succession, leaving no opportunity to counterattack.
- Predestination: The ultimate purpose of Made in Heaven is to reset the universe by accelerating time until it loops back on itself and returns to the point where Made in Heaven was originally activated. As a result, every living being will possess subconscious knowledge of the future. If Pucci is killed before this occurs, a partial reset will occur, nullifying the subconscious knowledge and returning the world to a normal state.
- Superhuman Endurance: Pucci demonstrates durability that far exceeds the average human. When he battled Weather Report, despite sustaining multiple stab wounds from icicles, he emerged victorious and escaped. Furthermore, he withstood blows from super-strong Stands such as Weather Report and Star Platinum; the latter is strong enough to hold up a steamroller.
Zoom[]
“ | I suffered through tragedy. I lost my family to it. I understand the depths it will drag one down to. And only by surviving it does one become stronger.
— Zoom
|
” |
The father of Hunter Zolomon was revealed to be a serial killer, driving Zolomon to study criminal psychology and join the FBI. During a case, Zolomon incorrectly profiled a criminal, resulting in his father-in-law's death. Discharged and divorced, he joined the police department in Keystone City, home of Wally West, the Flash. After being paralyzed by Gorilla Grodd, Zolomon begged Wally to undo his tragedies through time travel, but Wally refused. Zolomon attempted time travel himself, causing an explosion that cured his paralysis and gave him the power to manipulate his personal timeline, making him superhumanly fast. Taking the name Zoom, Zolomon believed Wally was a lesser hero because he hadn't experienced tragedy. To bring tragedy to Wally's life, he attacked his wife and caused her to miscarry. Wally defeated Zoom by freezing him in time. Zoom later awoke and was freed from imprisonment by the Secret Society of Super-Villains.
- Localized Chronokinesis: Zoom can speed up his timeline relative to the universe's and appear to move at superhuman speed. As Zoom does not use physical abilities to reach super speed, friction and other problems speedsters face are irrelevant. In this heightened temporal state, weaker speedsters appear motionless to him. He can throw over two hundred punches in a second and moves so quickly that Wally West, a seasoned speedster who regularly reaches hypersonic speeds, struggled to perceive him. When Wally absorbed enough speed to match Zoom, their battles saw them circumnavigating the Earth in minutes.
- Superhuman Strength: Zoom's strength increases dramatically when his timeline is accelerated. He can beat down Wally West, who regularly tangles with the super-strong Gorilla Grodd. His punches and kicks produce enough force to launch people across countries and Wonder Woman said they hurt more than Superman's. Zoom theorized that, with sufficient momentum, he could strike hard enough to atomize a person completely.
- Superhuman Durability: Zoom's anomalous existence makes him superhumanly resilient. He can endure super-fast blows from Wally West and Bart Allen and a skyward uppercut from Wonder Woman. Most impressively, he survived a hundred-thousand-mile-per-second double palm strike from Wally that knocked him into the path of his own shockwave and was still well enough to flee afterward.
- Hypercognition: When Zoom's timeline accelerates, the universe slows down from his perspective, giving him superhuman reflexes. In this state, even a fly's fluttering wings appear motionless to him. He can counter the Flash's super-fast punches or catch Captain Boomerang's supersonic projectiles.
- Shockwave Generation: Zoom can generate potent shockwaves through mundane actions, like snapping his fingers, clapping his hands, or raising his voice. These shockwaves, likened to sonic booms, possess tremendous destructive force and can shatter an entire city block's worth of windows or tear apart the ground. Those caught too close to the epicenter of a shockwave are sent flying away, often with severe internal injuries.
- Skilled Martial Artist: Despite his only training being college taekwondo courses, Zoom is surprisingly formidable in a hand-to-hand battle. After Wally West matched Zoom's speed, he still struggled against Zoom's martial arts prowess. Zoom even held off Wonder Woman, one of the most skilled warriors in the universe.
X-Factors[]
Experience
Over four months, Pucci fought a variety of Stand-users with wildly different abilities. After skirmishing with the string-manipulating Jolyne Cujoh with his initial Stand, Whitesnake, Pucci withdrew, sending minions against Jolyne and her friends. After he was exposed, Pucci battled the sapient plankton colony Foo Fighters, the weather-manipulating Weather Report, and the energy-storing Narciso Anasui, emerging triumphant each time. When his Stand evolved into C-MOON, he had an intense battle with Jolyne, losing only when Jotaro Kujo intervened. When Made in Heaven finally manifested, Pucci killed nearly all of Jolyne's party with little effort before being defeated by Emporio Alniño.
After gaining his powers, Zoom battled Wally West and was defeated, frozen in time. Upon escaping this temporal anomaly, Zoom allied with the Cheetah to fight Wally and Wonder Woman. In a war between the Rogues, Zoom effortlessly dispatched Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, and Captain Cold, his speed leaving them powerless. Finally, Zoom and the Reverse-Flash fought Wally and Barry Allen, with the Flashes ultimately victorious. Notably, Zoom has yet to battle an equal when his aim was actually to defeat his opponent. Against the Flashes and Wonder Woman, he wished to inflict tragedy upon the heroes, believing it would better them through his twisted perception of heroism.
Tactics
Like a typical Stand-user, Pucci boasts exceptional intellect and adaptability in combat situations. He can swiftly discern the intricacies of Stand abilities and adjust his tactics accordingly. When confronted with Weather Report's enigmatic Heavy Weather ability, Pucci discovered how it worked and turned the tables on Weather and Anasui. His talent for spur-of-the-moment improvisation was showcased when he ingeniously utilized a mirror to affect Anasui and narrowly thwart Weather's lethal assault. Against the Joestar Group, Pucci flawlessly anticipated his adversaries' moves and expertly prepared traps to render them powerless. Pucci also seamlessly adapted to his own Stand's wildly different forms.
Despite being a prodigiously intelligent profiler, Zoom rarely applies his intellect to combat situations. With speed and power that initially surpassed even the Flash's, he often only needs to straightforwardly charge at his adversaries and overpower them before they can react. While this tactic is sufficient against most opponents, it failed against Wally, who overcame his limits and faced Zoom on equal terms, and Wonder Woman, who outmatched him with superior strength and skill. However, Zoom occasionally demonstrates flashes of strategic thinking; during his initial confrontation with Wally, he caused a shockwave that triggered an avalanche and destabilized the battlefield.
Notes[]
- Pucci is as he was immediately after attaining Made in Heaven. Zoom is as he was just before his defeat at the end of the Rogue War arc.
- Scenario: Zoom learns of Pucci's plan to reset the universe. Fearing that knowing the future will make the Flash a lesser hero, Zoom travels to Florida to kill Pucci and stop the reset.
