Superman

Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us. And on my soul, I swear... until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice becomes the reality we all share -- I'll never stop fighting. Ever.
— Superman

Faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it's Superman! In the distant Andromeda Galaxy, Krypton stood as a fantastical world of technological advancement and prosperity, and yet, the world was rotten in its core. Although the Kryptonian people had reached a point of Elysium, with an effectively immortal population through perfected cloning and the eradication of disease and suffering, a hundred thousand years of decadence and complacence led the once proud people into decay, breaking society down and resulting in the ruination of their planet. From the dying world, only a handful of desperate escape vessels were launched, one of them carrying the infant child of the El family who would land on Earth, receive the name of Clark Kent, and adopt the hopeful title of Superman.

In time, the Last Son of Krypton became Earth's mightiest guardian, defending it from threats both within and without. Over the years, Superman has gone through many eras, fought many foes, and joined many allies, always serving as a golden symbol of hope wherever he goes. Eventually, he would go on to found the Justice League, a team of superheroes from across the globe and beyond sworn to protect the world, and take on some of the cosmos' most ferocious villains alongside them.

Powers and Abilities[]

Kryptonian Physiology: Superman is from a now near-extinct race of superhuman aliens from the planet Krypton, who draw their strength from the light of blue and yellow suns to accomplish superhuman feats of strength, endurance and speed. Over and over again, Kryptonians have shown themselves to be some of the most powerful entities in all of DC, and Superman has shown himself to be one of the greatest among them. He's traded blows with gods, pulled planets with his bare hands, flown to distant galaxies and more, and is nearly unbeatable so long as the sun shines on him.

  • Solar Energy Absorption: Kryptonians are living solar batteries who can absorb the radiation or yellow and blue suns to fuel their immense power. So long as he fights in sunlight, Superman's stamina is nigh-inexhaustible, and in times of crisis even minuscules rays of sunlight were enough to restore his strength. When needed, Superman can also fly directly into the sun to boost his power. On the other hand, Kryptonians rapidly lose their strength when exposed to the radiation of red suns like that on their homeworld of Krypton.
  • Bio-Electric Aura: Superman's body is surrounded in a thin energy aura which protects him from harm, hence his clothes' ability to remain unharmed after taking massive attacks. This field reinforces his already superhuman durability.
  • Enhanced Senses: Superman's senses are far beyond those of ordinary humans. He can see most electromagneitc spectrums, see through solid matter with X-Rays and possesses telescopic and microscopic vision. He can also hear voices and sounds from across the entire world.

Flight: Kryptonians are capable of flight across galactic distances, an ability Superman is arguably best known for. He's flown from the distant planet of Vega to Earth in just a few minutes, flew through multiple stars within moments, and has even been known to fly back in time.

Heat Vision: Kryptonians can project focused stream of solar energy from their eyes. Although its exact temperature is unknown, it is strong enough to harm beings who can withstand the heat of the sun, like other Kryptonians. In addition to its raw power, Superman can use it in a variety of ways, such as rapid-firing energy bullets, unleashing massive blasts, and even focusing it down like a scalpel to precise enough levels to lobotomize victims.

  • Solar Flare: A more extreme application of Heat Vision, Superman can unleash his stored solar energy out of his body in an explosive burst. These can be contained into small explosions to launch enemies off of him, while at full power they can serve as an all-out attack. Unfortunately, the latter application leaves him drained of energy for 24 hours after only one or two uses.

Super Breath: Superman can exhale massive gales of wind strong enough to cause hurricanes and launch enemies away, as well as chill the air to freeze his enemies in their tracks. Alternatively, he can inhale large quantities of air into his lungs.

Vibration: Much like the Flash and other speedsters, Superman is capable of vibrating his body at high frequencies for various means. Most often, he uses this ability to phase through solid matter, including enemy attacks, or render himself invisible. He has also shown the ability to phase objects and people with him, including the entire Earth.

  • Infinite Mass Punch: By vibrating at relativistic speeds right under the speed of light, Superman can dramatically increase his relative mass to strike with immense force. He used the technique to smash an entire moon to pieces, although it left him unconscious. The Flash, with the same technique, gave his fist the mass of a white dwarf star to punch the Reverse Flash.

Torquasm: An ancient Kryptonian martial art, Torquasm hones the mind of the fighter into a perfect weapon, putting them into a state of hyper-awareness and giving them full control over their own mind. It requires precise concentration to be maintained and complex knowledge, but when executed right it gives Superman important advantages in battle.

  • Torquasm-Vo: Vo is the mental state of Torquasm, achieved through perfect calm and the stabilization of brain waves to the Theta state. It protects Superman from mental and soul-based attacks as well as transmutation and reality warping, and lets him see through illusions. Fully mastered, it even allows him to create and project illusions to confound his enemies.
  • Torquasm-Rao: Rao is the physical state of Torquasm. It allows the user to create a mental projection of themselves and send it across the universe. Rao also allows Superman to sense energies and send astral projections even into other dimensions like the Phantom Zone.

X-Factors[]

Physicality: As befits his title, the Man of Steel's strength is nearly unmatched. At the same time, however, it is infamously inconsistent. At times, Superman has been knocked out by the likes of Konvikt and thrown around by Solomon Grundy. This is because, both consciously and subconsciously, Superman holds himself back from using his full power. At his best, however, he possesses the greatest might out of any member of the Justice League. Superman has pulled the Earth alongside Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter, lifted the weight of the Earth of five days straight, fought Lobo who could yank a star with his chains, shattered the constructs of Green Lanterns who can hold the Big Bang, and withstood attacks from beings who threaten the entire universe like Darkseid, including his matter-erasing Omega Beams. He has flown from the edge of the universe to Earth in 60 days, could race the Flash, resisted the pull of a simulated black hole, and even broke through the bounds of infinity. At times, it has even been said that time and space are of no meaning to him anymore. His greatest showing, achieved after dipping through multiple stars, saw him punch apart an entire multiverse created by the World Forger.

Skill and Experience: Superman might seem like a brute who relies on his strength, but his mind is every bit as potent. He fought against demons in Valhalla for a thousand years alongside Wonder Woman and Thor, and has faced the vast array of supervillains presented by DC comics, the likes of the supergenius Lex Luthor, the New God Darkseid, the unstoppable Doomsday, and fellow Kryptonians such as general Zodd. His super-speed allows him to process information unbelievably fast, to the point of learning complex medical knowledge within seconds and even memorizing the mechanism of a reality-warping machine, which he proceeded to rebuild. He is, in many ways, a supergenius. He is skilled in Torquasm as well as several Earth martial arts like boxing, wrestling and jiu-jutsu, having been taught by the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, the Warworld gladiator Kryx-Ul, the Apokolipsan warrior Wioska, and his adoptive father Johnathan Kent.

Fighting Style: Superman's go-to tactic is to fly full-speed and pound his enemy into the ground with his immense strength, using his Heat Vision and Power Breath as auxiliary weapons to keep the pressure. His fights often consist almost solely of punches, high-speed tackles and wild throws, which serve him well enough. However, when the situation calls for it, he demonstrates the true extent of his power: phasing through an opponent's blows, using precise strikes and Heat Vision to take them apart, and using his super-speed to blitz his foes. He often makes a statement out of it as well, emphasizing how much he holds back for the sake of others. Although often thought of as an unskilled fighter, Superman is almost always clever and tactical, coming up with strategies on the fly to overcome his enemies.

Because no matter how small an act of kindness or generosity or simple positivity you put out into the world, it will make a difference.
— Wonder Woman

In the distant past, when men still went to war clad in bronze and brass, the gods of Olympus watched over a world wrapped in myth. Demigod heroes the likes of Hercules and Achilles let their names be known, and dark forces demonic and divine advanced their plots. In such a world was the mythical island of Themiscyra populated by the Amazon warrior women, and to their queen Hippolyta was born the paragon Diana. Her origins are shrouded in mystery: is she a bastard of Zeus, the product of Heracles' assault on her mother, or perhaps molded from clay? Was she born a few decades ago, or millenia in the past? What is known for certain is that, during the Second World War, Diana revealed herself to the world as an envoy of her people, to spread values of peace and justice, and went on to form the foundations of superheroes as they are known as Wonder Woman.

From the Justice Society to the Justice League, Wonder Woman has remained one of Earth's mightiest heroes, leading the charge against threats of all kinds. At times confronted with the cruelty of the world, at other times forced to reflect on her own heritage, Diana always manages to find herself fighting for what she believes is right. Over time, she has battled her own Olympian forefathers, alien invaders, cosmic beings from beyond our world, and even took down the Darkest Knight when he threatened reality itself.

Powers and Abilities[]

Amazon Physiology: Not only is Diana an Amazon, a race of superhuman warrior women from the age of myths, she is their greatest champion. She is one of the only people who can boast to be near the power of Kryptonians, with strength, speed and durability far surpassing mere mortals. Her divine lineage has allowed her to stand as one of the heaviest hitters of the Justice League.

  • Enhanced Senses: Although arguably not to Clark's level, Diana's senses are far beyond those of ordinary humans. She is capable of seeing through magical illusions, and has precise enough vision and hearing to see plankton swirl in the water and corral grow on the ocean floor. She could even fight a foe as quick as Hunter Zolomon while completely blind.
  • Regeneration: Wonder Woman can quickly heal from moderate wounds such as cuts and punctures. She quickly repaired her shoulder being impales, and her brother Jason healed a cut-open throat in a minute or so. This also makes her resistant to most toxins and diseases.

Flight: Wonder Woman can, through the divine blessing of Hermes, soar through the air at tremendous speeds. She's fast enough to keep up with Kryptonians and fly between the Justice League Watchtower in outer space and Earth in a short span of time.

Weapons: Although her innate abilities are not as impressive as those of peers like Superman and Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman makes up for it with an arsenal of divine weapons. Most of these are blessed or magical in one way or another.

  • Bracelets of Submission: Wonder Woman's bracelets, made of the divine and nigh-unbreakable Eighth Metal, are powerful defensive tools which allow her to block incoming attacks, as strong as Darkseid's Omega Beams and as sharp as her own sword. They are also capable of channeling Zeus' lightning through them when struck together. Finally, they serve as power limiters for their wearer and if, by any means, they are removed or broken, they will give Wonder Woman a great boost in physical abilities.
  • Lasso of Truth: A nigh-unbreakable magical lasso of infinite magical length that Wonder Woman uses to capture her opponents. Any who are caught by it are compelled to answer any question with only the truth. In addition, it can cure effects such as poisons or mind control, and conduct lightning to use as a weapon. Wonder Woman is extremely skilled in its usage, and it is strong enough to restrain Kryptonians.
  • Sword of Hephaestus: A sword forged by the Greek God of smiths and one of Diana's most lethal weapons. It is sharp enough to cleave an atom in two, or shave an electron off of it. If need be, it is also a potent defensive weapon capable of deflecting Kryptonian Heat Vision. Although Wonder Woman is generally a merciful person, she has no strict no-kill rule, unlike her teammates, meaning a single cut from the sword can end a fight if she sees it fit.
  • Shield: Wonder Woman has used a number of different shields across her history, from Athena' very own Aegis to one that was wielded by her grandmother. All of them are forearm-strapped, tough enough to protect her from high-powered attacks and can be used as a battering weapon strong enough to clobber Doomsday if the need arises.
  • Tiara: Wonder Woman's tiara can be thrown as a projectile, similar to a razor-sharp boomerang. It will come back to her after being launched, and is sharp enough to slice open a mind-controlled Superman's throat.

Godwave: In times of need, Wonder Woman has been known to channel the mythical energies of the Godwave through her body, a primordial force that gave birth to the Old Gods. This gives her a massive boost in strength and speed, enough to swat away a mutated and maddened Superman, but burns her from within and can only be maintained for a few moments.

X-Factors:[]

Physicality: Wonder Woman's power, like that of most comic heroes, is highly inconsistent. She consistently contends with Kryptonians like Clark, Supergirl and Power Girl, and is generally shown to be only slightly weaker than Superman. Admittedly, she lacks the utterly insane feats of his, but she's done her fair share of crazy: she has pulled the Earth alongside him, withstood the pull of a black hole and pulled Martian Manhunter out of one with her Lasso, and alongside Superman and Green Lantern pulled the moon in and back out of Earth's atmosphere. Arguably, she is best known for her speed and reactions: Wonder Woman could deflect shards of the Shattered God, which travelled from the far egdes of the universe in mere seconds; she caught an out-of-control Flash with her Lasso, and caught Dr. Zoom while blind; and at times has even been shown to be quicker than Superman. She is durable enough to take hits from Kryptonians, Darkseid, and both Old and New Gods, and is notably resistant to magic, but seems to have problem against sharp objects like bullets and blades which can pierce her skin.

Skill and Experience: Diana is arguably the most skilled combatant in the Justice League. In fact, Batman has deemed her the best hand-to-hand fighter on Earth. She has over 2000 years of training and experience, having been raised in a warrior society, and once fought in Valhalla for 1000 years alongside Superman and Thor against hordes of demons. She is trained in swordfighting, equestrianism, hand-to-hand combat, and is allegedly proficient with all weapons known to man. She once defeated multiple members of the Justice League (Flash, Martian Manhunter, Plastic Man and Black Canary) while blind, and only began to falter when Batman joined the fight (because it's Batman). In addition, she is a skilled diplomat and negotiator, the very reason she was chosen to represent her people to begin with, and possesses deep knowledge of magical and mythical matters.

Fighting Style: Wonder Woman mostly fights with a strike-centered style, deflecting incoming attacks with her bracelets and countering with sharp and well-directed blows. She often aims for pressure-points, joints and vulnerable regions such as the eyes and ears to disorient and disable her adversaries, and although she usually employs non-lethal tactics, she will go directly for the kill when it is necessary, notable going for the throat against a number of enemies. When fighting as a team, she often disables the enemy with her Lasso to give her allies an opportunity to strike.

Batman
Criminals, by nature, are a cowardly and superstitious lot. To instill fear into their hearts, I became a bat. A monster in the night. And in doing so, have I become the very thing that all monsters become - alone?
— Batman

When, one night, Gotham city billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne were gunned down in an alleyway on their way home from the theatre, they left behind their heartbroken son Bruce. Traumatized, empty, and seeking a way to fill the void left in his heart, he set out to transform himself into a weapon to fight crime and strike fear into the heart of criminals. Travelling across the world, using his wealth and resources to train and study under the greatest teachers and mystics on Earth, Bruce became a one-man army. In time, this quest became one of protection, to prevent innocents from going through the pain he was subjected to. Returning to Gotham, Bruce donned a grim outfit to strike fear into the heart of his enemies, and through his war against crime became known as the Batman.

Although initially focused on protecting Gotham City and taking down street-level crime, Batman's exploits eventually led to him becoming a founding member of the Justice League and working alongside fellow superheroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman. Despite clashing with them on occasions due to his strict code and stubborn attitude, Bruce remains one of the most trusted heroes in the world, and a cherished best friend to these otherworldly warriors. As a mortal man caught amongst gods, Batman has had to step up his game to keep up with the threats he encounters alongside the League, and in spite of his mortality has shown time and time again that there is nothing mere about this mortal.

Powers and Abilities[]

Peak Human Physique: Batman's body is honed to the absolute peak of human capability, to the point where many suspect that he might be some sort of superhuman. He can break stone and steel with his bare hands, survive large explosions, and leap between buildings with ease. His decades of training and experience have given him quite a few tricks.

  • Enhanced Senses: Although not to the extent of his peers, Batman's senses are incredible. He can detect the presence of those trying to sneak up on him, hear sounds from many blocks away, and see from distances impossible for ordinary humans. It is perhaps these senses, alongside his skill, which allows him to react to and keep up with the superhuman speeds of his teammates.

Stealth Batsuit: No matter how well-trained, an ordinary human has no chance of physically keeping up with the Justice League. Therefore, Batman relies on various suits and armors when needed. For the sake of this matchup, he will be wearing the Stealth Suit he wore in his battle against Wraith.

  • Stealth Functions: As one would expect, the Stealth Suit is a very Stealthy Suit. Batman designed it specifically to quickly shift across the electromagnetic spectrum to prevent it from being detected, and it could even sneak up on Superman without being noticed. Likewise, the suit hid Bruce away from the superhuman alien Wraith, who has similar sight to Clark. It was only shut down when Wraith heated up the air in the area and fried its circuits.
  • Durability: The Stealth Suit is surprisingly resilient despite its whole premise being to avoid being caught in the first place. It allowed Batman to survive some solid hits from Wraith, an alien warrior supposedly even stronger than Superman, while he was specifically out to kill the Caped Crusader. Although it ultimately was broken by the alien's strength, it nonetheless kept Bruce in the fight for a good while.
  • Cowl: Although we didn't see much from the Stealth Suit specifically, I will be giving it the benefit of the doubt and applying functions of the basic Batsuit, which should be built into most of his suits. The Batsuit's cowl is equipped with various sensory functions like night, telescopic and see-through vision, sensors, echolocation and a connection to the Batcomputer. It also contains communication equipment to contact teammates.
  • Cape: Batman's cape can be used to glide, something Batman is so good at that he can seemingly fly. He can also use it as am impromptu weapon or shield, as it is completely bulletproof and strong enough to cut through metal. Batman uses it to distract and disorient his enemies in close combat.

Gauntlets: Throughout his crime-fighting career, Batman's gauntlets have been equipped with various functions, which make up for his lack of physical strength and allow him to keep pace with his superhuman teammates.

  • Electric: Batman can release dangerous electric shocks from his gauntlets, unleashed upon contact with the enemy. These are strong enough to stagger enemies of the Justice League such as Apex Lex Luthor and even a mind-controlled Superman.
  • Seismic: Batman has used Seismic Gauntlets which allowed him to punch hard enough to harm the supervillain Lork Havok. Although very powerful, he can only withstand the recoil of the gauntlet's blows so many times before they break his own spine, making them a last-resort weapon.
  • Heat: Specialized brass knuckles on the gauntlets can emit heat and set themselves on fire, hot enough to counterarct Mister Freeze's ice abilities.
  • Energy Absoption: Batman's gauntlets can absorb energy-based attacks such as Green Lantern blasts and beams from Deathstroke's staff to power up his electric punches. In addition, they are capable of gradually disrupting energy fields, such as Deathstroke's Ikon Armor Shield which was strong enough to withstand a blast from Superman.
  • Blades: Batman's gauntlets have sharp blades which can be used in melee combat. He is skilled enough in their usage to keep up with experienced swordsmen and fighters with much longer weapons. These can also be shot with attached wires to serve as grappling hooks.
  • Grappling Hooks: Bat-shaped grappling hooks built into the knuckles can be fired for quick movements and escape from dangerous situations. Of course, since this is Batman we're talking about, he also uses them offensively to pull enemies close to him and beat the breaks off of them.

Batarangs: Arguably Batman's most iconic weapons, the Batarangs are bat-shaped shuriken which are used to disable foes from afar without the use of guns, which Bruce despises. Although regular Batarangs are somewhat lackluster, he has a variety versions tailored for his needs.

  • Electric: Electric Batarangs are equipped with powerful tasers strong enough to stun giant robots and mutated monsters.
  • Flashbang: Flashbang Batarangs release intense light which blind opponents and give the Caped Crusader time to escape.
  • Sonic: Hypersonic Batarangs can release high-pitched sounds which stun and deafen enemies, momentarily leaving them vulnerable. These are especially effective against beings with enhanced hearing.

Explosive: Batman carries a variety of explosives, notable detonating Batarangs, which he uses to make up for his lack of physical power. Although some of these are merely used to break down walls and knock out crooks, those he uses when on missions with his team are of much higher calibre, capable of staggering foes like Damage, Superboy, Lord Havok, and even Superman himself at times. They only rarely cause noticeable damage, but they can still knock enemies of such power off balance.

Hellbat Armor: When push comes to shove, Batman has designed a specialized suit of armor which lets him stand shoulder to shoulder with his superpowered teammates. Forged by Superman in the heart of the Sun, Aquaman in the depth of the ocean, Flash in the Speed Force, Green Lantern in outer space, Cyborg with the height of technology, and Wonder Woman in the forge of Hephaestus, the Hellbat Armor grants Bruce the strength to rival gods. He is capable of summoning it remotely through an orbital package, and does so when faced with overwhelming odds.

  • Massively Increased Physical Abilities: The Hellbat gives Batman strength that nearly matches Superman and the likes. He easily overpowered Kalibak, a frequent foe of the Man of Steel, fought on par with a demon that subdued Etrigan, and even gave Darkseid an impressive fight before being overwhelmed. When Lois Lane wore the armor, she was capable of going up against the Eradicator. This power comes at the cost of his own metabolism, however, meaning overuse without pacing himself may lead to his own death.
  • Nanokinetic Mesh: The Hellbat is made of a malleable mesh integrated with (assumedly) the Batcomputer, with each microscopic piece acting as its own part. Using this nature, Batman can freely shape the armor's form and create weapons on the fly. He can wrap up his enemies, shove tendrils inside their bodies from their ears, and create weapons such as giant wings and thousands of batarangs or bat-shaped projectiles.
  • Flight: The Hellbat can fly fast enough to traverse the gigantic planet Apokolips and keep up with Darkseid in combat. Despite not usually relying on flight, Batman is shockingly skilled at fighting in the sky, taking on a horde of Paradaemons and Apokolipsan warriors.
  • Invisibility: The Hellbat can cloak itself, even from the technology of Apokolips, and pass undetected by enemies. Although extremely useful and versatile, Bruce has not used it in combat, preferring to let his enemies see exactly who is beating them up.
  • Chest Beam: The Hellbat's chest insignia can fire a bat-shaped beam strong enough to launch Darkseid back and momentarily knock him out. This serves as one of the armor's ultimate weapons, and although immensely powerful, it takes a great toll on Bruce's metabolism.
  • Devastator: The Devastator is a brass knuckle outfitted on the Hellbat which immensely amplifies Batman's striking strength once activated, enough to take out a demon that was overpowering the armor up to that point. Unfortunately, the attack has a 95% chance of giving him a heart attack, making it a last resort weapon.

X-Factors[]

Physicality: Although Batman is nominally only human, he has achieved the impossible multiple times. He can go blow for blow with superhuman villains like Killer Croc and Bane, survive massive explosions which would turn regular humans to ash, and even once survived crashing down from the Watchtower into Earth. Of course, he requires his suits of armor in order to keep up with enemies of heavier calibre. The Stealth Suit, for example, took multiple hits from Wraith, who was overpowering Wonder Woman in the same fight, including being struck with the Batcave's T-Rex animatronic and being thrown into a wall and slammed through the Batwing. In the Hellbat, Batman could launch Darkseid back with a punch and blast him away with his chest beam. In general, he is quick enough to keep up with the Justice League and its enemies, especially when wearing specialized suits. As would be expected, the Dark Knight has little to no direct feats of power such as tugging planets or resisting black holes, meaning much of his strength must be assumed in comparison to other characters.

Skill and Experience: Batman is one of DC's best martial artists, surpassed only by a select few as well as millenia-old immortals like Wonder Woman. He has decades of training and combat experience since his childhood, has mastered 127 different martial arts, trained under ninjas, the yakuza, and even wizards, and learned every knowledge that could aid him in his quest. His list of skills are innumerable: world's best detective, hacker, escapist, spy, infiltrator, strategist, manipulator, so on and so forth simply on account of being Batman. He is widely considered to be one of Earth's smartest men alongside Lex Luthor and Mister Terrific, and has even outsmarted fellow supergeniuses like Lex, the Riddler and Deathstroke. Batman's skill extends into the technological, having designed most of his gadgets and vehicles and creating weapons which let him stand besides gods.

Combat Style: Batman is, if anything, adaptable, and will change his strategy and approach depending on his enemy. Most of the time, he approaches battle against superpowered enemies by relying on range, agility and stealth, employing hit-and-run tactics to disorient and wear them out. Avoiding a 'fair' fight is what he does best. In the unfortunate cases where he must go into close-quarters combat with superhuman threats, Batman uses a heavily strike-based fighting style, landing critical hits mainly to the face and jaw while parrying and deflecting counterattacks. Nerve strikes, pressure-points and joint locks are also on the table, so long as they do not result in death.

Ultra Brothers[]

Ultraman cinematic
A heart that believes. The strength of that heart makes the impossible possible. That is Ultraman.
— Ultraman

Far in the depth of space, 4 million lightyears away from Earth, is the M78 Nebula, where shines the Land of Light, a planet of peace, progress and technological advancement. The denizens of the Land of Light, powered by their miraculous invention, the Plasma Spark, spread into the universe to protect the innocent and apprehent intergalactic criminals. On one such mission, when the rampaging monster Bemular was being escorted for its execution, the beast escaped and hid on the distant planet of Earth, where he was chased by a lone Interegalactic Defense Force ranger. This lone warrior would become known as Ultraman.

Since that day, Ultraman has served as a link between Earth and the Land of Light, even living amongst humanity for decades and experiencing life as a regular earthling. Although he has pulled himself out of Earth's direct defense since his defeat against Zetton, Ultraman nonetheless remains a beacon of hope not only for humanity but for the universe at large, joining the elite group known as the Ultra Brothers who are deployed when the greatest of warriors are needed the most. Although well over 10 000 years have passed since his first arrival on Earth, Ultraman remains a relied-upon hero who has battled foes such as Yapool, Belial, Zaigorg and the Absoluteans for the sake of the universe and, eventually, even the multiverse itself.

Powers and Abilities[]

Ultra Physiology: Ultraman, as his name implies, is a member of the Ultra race, a superpowered alien civilization hailing from the Land of Light. Drawing strength from their artificial sun, the Plasma Spark, the Ultras are among the most powerful races in the entire universe, with strength, speed and endurance by far surapssing warriors of oher planets. Their titanic size allows them to trade blows with kaijus that shake the earth with their footsteps, and their innate ability to project energy makes them biological artillery platforms. The abilities of the Ultra race are numerous, and will be listed below.

  • Size Manipulation: Members of the Ultra race are capable of freely manipulating their physical size, sometimes small enough to enter human blood vessels and other times towering over skyscrapers. However, their physical abilities do not seem to be affected by this change, as Seven could still one-shot robots strong enough to shrug off anti-kaiju guns, the Dark Ultra Jugglus Juggler could sweep aside the Ultra-sized War Goddess, and Mefilas, an equal of Ultraman, could destroy kaijus even at human size.
  • Solar Energy Absorption: The Ultra people are powered by their artificial sun, the Plasma Spark, from which they draw their incredible strength. Away from home, they substitute this energy through the light of other stars such as the sun. During his original series, Ultraman could only fight for 3 minutes before recharging due to the Earth's atmosphere which shut out most of the sun's rays. Over time, however, it seems Ultraman has overcome this time limit, as he could remain transform for dozens of minutes at a time in Ultraman Leo and Ultraman Mebius.
  • Ultra Armor: The silver skin of an Ultra affords great protection, which is hardly ever breached. Only extremely powerful monsters and aliens have been known to pierce it, and slashes and stabs usually glance off its surface with sparks instead of lasting damage. Ultraman in particular is so durable, he could take Neronga's Despotic Lightning and Mefilas' Grip Beam to the chest with no damage whatsoever, both of which being capable of destroying kaijus. In addition, Ultraman is also highly resistant to heat, having survived Zetton's One Trillion Degree Fireball, and his own 500 000 degrees Spacium Ray being reflected at him. Some Ultras weaker than Ultraman, like Max, could even survive the Maxium Cannon, which destroys matter down at the subatomic level.
  • Enhanced Senses: The Ultras possess senses far greater than those of humanity. Ultraman can see infrared light and hear ultrasounds, and has even been shown seeing through solid walls. It is said that he can hear the roars of monsters from tens of thousands of kilometres away, which may not be an exaggeration as he could fly straight out of the Subterranean People's city, 40 000 kilometres underground, and accurately emerge where the monster Telesdon was rampaging.

Flight: Ultras are capable of anti-gravity flight, soaring through the sky and engaging in dogfights against invading spaceships. Although Ultraman's canon speed during the 1966 series has been stated to be Mach 5, he has since demonstrated countless feats of massively faster than light flight, travelling between M78 and Earth in moments, explicitly exceeding lightspeed in Ultraman Ace, and keeping up with enemies that could do the same. Another Ultra, Joneus, could even fly to the edge of the universe and back in a short span, and Ace could fly backwards in time itself.

Energy Projection: The Ultras, like many other races, can fire beams of energy from their body as ranged weapons by harnessing Spacium energy. Although all Ultras seem capable of this, only trained warriors like Ultraman can bring out the race's full potential:

  • Spacium Ray: Ultraman's signature technique is the Spacium Ray, a blue beam of energy powerful enough to destroy monsters in one shot. Although it is the most basic of all beam techniques, one that all Ultra warriors learn and modify to their liking, Ultraman has mastered the Spacium Ray to the point of transforming it into a finisher beam in its own right. Thanks to this mastery, Ultraman can rapid-fire his finisher beam, unleash it without wasting time charging it up, and is not drained by its usage, giving him an advantage over other warriors. It is capable of breaking down cellular bonds and has a temperature of 500 000 degrees. However, some enemies like Antlar and Keylla have shown the ability to withstand it.
  • Ultra Slash: The Dismembering Halo is a disc of solid spacium which slices through targets. It is powerful enough to bisect enemies comparable in strength to Ultraman himself, such as Baltan and Red King. Over the years, Ultraman has honed his usage of the Ultra Slash: he can fire them in quick succession, split them into two, have them home in on enemies, and has even been seen using them as shields to block energy attacks or as hand weapons. Powerful forces from the side, however, have been known to deflect or shatter them.
  • Slash Ray: Ultraman can fire barrages of small arrows of light that explode upon contact from his hands. These are weaker than the Ultra Slash or Spacium Ray, but can be rapid-fired to deal with multiple enemies at once, and a barrage was still strong enough to cancel out Mefilas' hand beam, which is strong enough to match the Ultra Slash.
  • Ultra Attack Ray: Possibly Ultraman's most powerful beam technique, the Ultra Attack Ray is a spiral of thermal energy that paralyzes its victims and destroys targets on the cellular level. It is multiple times stronger than the Spacium Ray and can destroy enemies who no-sold the latter in one shot. In recent years, Ultraman has implemented its use in hand-to-hand combat, unleashing it point-blank to amplify his punches. It did not, however, break through Mold Spectre's durable armor.
  • Paralysis Ray: A variation of the Spacium Ray which Ultraman uses against enemies whose strength is greater than his. The beam wraps around an enemy before vanishing, leaving the target paralyzed and incapable of fighitng back. This technique was strong enough to render helpless Alien Temperor, who took on all six Ultra Brothers at once.
  • Ultra Eye Spot: Sometimes, a situation requires a more indirect technique. The Ultra Eye Spot is a beam of light from Ultraman's eyes which can disable various abilities, such as energy fields, invisibility and intangibility. Other warriors like 80 have used it as a destructive technique as well, although Ultraman himself has not used it in such a manner.
  • Rebound Ray: Ultraman creates a rectangular wall of light in front of him to block incoming attacks. The Rebound Ray can not only protect Ultraman, but also reflect gaseous attacks like Geronimon's Anti-Gravity Breath, and was strong enough to protect him from the frost wave that froze the entirety of the Land of Light.
  • Catch Ring: Ultraman can spin around to create chains of energy that fly to the enemy before constricting them, leaving them open to attacks. Although very powerful, even strong enough to temporarily restrain Zetton, they cannot stop a foe from using ranged attacks which do not require the user's hands to be free.
  • Ultra Charge: Ultra Warriors are capable of sharing their energy with allies to replenish them or charge their attacks. This allows them to support teammates in battle and rejuvenate exhausted or defeated warriors to bring them back into the fight.
  • Grand Spark: All Ultra Brothers can use the Grand Spark, a technique where they fire their beams in unison to greatly amplify their power. Used in unison between the 5 Ultra Brothers, it increased the strength of their beams by several dozens of times.

Psychic Abilities: The Ultras are more than galactic powerhouses: they are a race highly attuned with the powers of their mind. Members of Ultraman's silver tribe in particular is renowned for their psychic prowess, and the warrior has used his tribe's specialty multiple times in combat.

  • Ultra Willpower: A form of telekinesis that allows Ultraman to move objects with his mind. He uses it to immobilize enemies and lift them in the air, and can even focus it to explode them from within. Ultraman has also used the Ultra Willpower to blow away harmful substances such as Aboras' acid or stop incoming attacks like Geronimon's feathers.
  • Ultra Psychokinesis: A powerful implementation of the Ultra Willpower, Ultraman fires a psychic spiral from his hands and uses both telekinesis and presumably mental attacks to render the target unconscious, then lifts them into the air to explode them. It was strong enough to utterly destroy Keylla, who could shrug off the Spacium Ray with no visible damage.
  • Ultra Air Catch: Ultraman can fire two beams of light from his hands, which completely paralyze the target and lock them in place. Ultraman uses this technique to leave enemies open to follow-up moves like the Ultra Slash, and to even further immobilize enemies already caught with his Ultra Willpower.
  • Telepathy: Ultraman can speak to others through his mind, the most common form of communication amongst the Ultras who have lost articulate mouths. Although this ability can, in theory, be used to cause harm onto one's mind, as demonstrated by Mebius, Ultraman has never been seen using it in such a manner.
  • Teleporation: When urgent travel is necessary, Ultraman is capable of teleporting across interstellar distances. However, this technique is extremely taxing on the warrior and is generally reserved as a last resort, only to be used in the most dire of circumstances such as when his allies are in mortal peril.

X-Factors[]

Physicality: Ultraman is an outstanding phsyical fighter, even among his kind. He is strong enough to lift and throw the 120 000 tons Telesdon, carry the monster Gavadon into outer space, and contend with powerful aliens such as Mold and the Absoluteans. He should, additionally, be comparable to other Ultras like Jack, who withstood the pressure of the living black hole Vaccuumon, and Zero, who moved an artificual sun, the Plasma Spark, with telekinesis. A fellow Ultra, Cosmos, even redirected a wayward planet with his power, and Blazar pushed the moon back into orbit. Ultraman himself once withstood the pull of a black hole alongside Sevem, and later teamed up with Seven and Zoffy to slow down the approach of a gigantic spaceship the size of Jupiter, albeit this was with a beam technique. His strength allows him to kill kaijus with judo throws, slice through Jirass' throat with a chop, and cancel out beams with his bare hands. Ultraman can fly across millions of lightyears in moments, and can keep up with fighters like Joneus and Zero who can cross the universe as well as the likes of Noa, who is stated to transcend space-time and have immeasurable speed. Finally, he can withstand attacks like Zetton's Trillion Degree Fireball, his own Spacium Ray, and hits from universe enders like Belial and Mold Spectre. He has even fought threats to the multiverse itself like the Absoluteans.

Skill and Experience: Ultraman is considered among the most skilled of all Ultra warriors. He is over 30 000 years old, and over the years has fought some of the universe's greatest threats like the turncoat Ultraman Belial, the extradimensional demon Yapool, the 4th dimensional invader Bullton and the mastermind Mefilas, who has an IQ of 10 000. He is said to have devised over 200 different techniques, and is constantly touted as the "Expert of Kaiju Extermination", a title which speaks as to his skill compared to his peers. Even junior members of the Ultra Brothers, like Leo and Hikari, can defeat enemies with the reputation of being the most skilled fighters in the universe in their respective domains like Alien Kettle and Zamsher. Besides this, Ultraman was a university professor before joining the Force, which explains his impressive intellect.

Fighting Style: Ultraman's fighting style is notably pragmatic and down to earth. He relies mostly on a mix of judo, wrestling and karate for close quarters combat and makes heavy use of throws and grapples to subdue kaijus whose raw strength are greater than his. His title, "Expert of Kaiju Extermination", may allude to the efficiency of his style, which quickly assesses an enemy's capabilities, then takes advantage of weaknesses and vulnerabilities. In addition, Ultraman's moves are known for their lack of telegraphy and wind-up, with most of his key techniques being rapid-fire. This allows Ultraman to quickly chain together various techniques, like the Ultra Air Catch and Ultra Slash, the Ultra Slash and the Spacium Ray, and the Catch Rings and Slash Ray.

Ultraseven cinematic
That is a tragic marathon, that you keep running while coughing up blood.
— Ultraseven

Some time after the defeat of Zetton and the return of Ultraman to M78, a lone Stationary Post Observer tasked with the mapping of the Milky Way arrived on Earth, where he witnessed the bravery and selflessness of a young coal miner who risked his own life to save an innocent. Inspired, and knowing the Earth was targeted by exterior threats, the man from the Land of Light took on the miner's likeness and joined the Ultra Guard, an elite team dedicated to the defense of Earth from extraterrestrial invaders. As the honorary seventh member of the team, his giant persona was given the name Ultraseven.

Through dozens of battles, however, Ultraseven's body accumulated wounds, and he was ultimately forced to return to the Land of Light following a final, climactic battle against the monster Pandon. Since then, Ultraseven joined the Intergalactic Defense Force and the Ultra Brothers, becoming one of the most stalwart defenders of the universe. Alongside his brothers in arms, Seven has faced demons and monsters of all sorts, and has raised a line of elite warriors now known as the Seven Lineage, consisting of his apprentice Leo, his son Zero and the latter's pupil Zett, all who grew to become the cosmos' premier guardians.

Powers and Abilities[]

Ultra Physiology: Ultraseven, like Ultraman, is a member of the Land of Light's Ultras, and in particular belongs to the Red Tribe, which is known for its capabilities in close quarters combat. Whether through these properties or from Seven's own style, Ultraseven is a more aggressive fighter than Ultraman.

  • Size Manipulation: Like Ultraman, Ultraseven is capable of changing his size to shape the situation. In particular, Seven has used this ability much more prominently than his brothers in arms, shrinking all the way down to enter a human's blood vessels to fight an alien pathogen. He has also used this ability more aggressively, shrinking down to transform himself into a projectile launched by his allies at full power.
  • Ultra Armor: Ultraseven also boasts Ultra Armor like his kin, bearing the iconic protectors on his shoulders and neck which provide additional defense. He is highly resistant to attacks including heat and slashing attacks, which usually result in impact sparks rather than legitimate wounds. However, he appears more susceptible to damage from electricity compared to Ultraman, who is immune to them.
  • Solar Energy Absorption: Seven can absorb solar energy with even greater efficiency than his peers thanks to his protectors, which serve as solar panels. These can rejuvenate Seven in the middle of a fight as well as power up his techniques such as the Wide Shot.
  • Flight: Like the rest of his kind, Seven is capable of anti-gravity flight. Like Ultraman, he was seen surpassing light speed in Ultraman Ace and has travelled between the Land of Light and Earth on numerous occasions, a distance of 4 000 000 lightyears.
  • Enhanced Senses: Ultraseven has highly advanced senses, with both enhanced hearing and sight. Seven's vision is particularly good, and he has no problem seeing in complete darkness and even through solid walls.
  • Ultra Power: By focusing his mind, Seven can temporarily increase his strength to even greater levels, to the point of pulling apart enemies limb by limb with his bare hands. Such is his strength that Nurse, a robotic dragon which was overpowering him, was instantly torn to shreds the moment he used the technique.

Awakening: Awakening is a state of mind in the martial arts of the Ultras, a state of mastery in which one allows himself to be guided by his natural combat instincts to fight efficiently and with neither thought nor hesitation. This prevents attacks from being predicted and dodged even by martial arts masters. Seven was one of the teachers who taught Zero the Awakening state, and himself was able to land hits on Tartarus, which Zero needed the state in order to do, implying he also has achieved this point.

Energy Projection: The Ultras, like many other races, can fire beams of energy from their body as ranged weapons by harnessing Spacium energy. The Red Tribe notably possesses a Beam Lamp on their forehead, which is used for offensive techniques:

  • Emerium Ray: Seven's signature finisher is a laser beam fired from his forehead's emerald Beam Lamp, most often used for pinpoint accuracy. He is capable of adjusting its strength, sometimes using it to destroy specific body parts and other times making it strong enough to launch kaijus straight off the ground. Seven has developed multiple variants of the attack, including one where he fires a barrage of energy bullets.
  • Spacium Ray: Ultraseven, like all members of the Intergalactic Defense Force, can use the Spacium Ray in its basic form. However, he is not as skilled in its usage as Ultraman, so instead modifies it into a more powerful form...
  • Wide Shot: A golden L-style beam fire from Seven's crossed arms. It is said to be dozens of times stronger than the Emerium Ray, and can easily destroy monsters in a single hit. It is Seven's most powerful beam technique and, although it used to drain his energy, he has since mastered it to a point where he does not seem to be exhausted by its use.
  • Three Wide Shot: When facing multiple opponents, Seven can split his Wide Shot into multiple beams to strike different targets at the same time.
  • Chain Beam: Another variation of the Wide Shot, Seven shoots out a red beam of energy that covers a target and leaves them paralyzed and disoriented. Seven used it as a counter technique, retaliating with it to catch enemies off guard after an attack. A similar technique, the Stop Beam, also paralyes opponents and stops their movements.
  • Energy Bullets: Ultraseven can fire barrages of various energy projectiles from his hands, such as bullets and arrows, for a relentless assault. These include the Shuriken Beams, the Handy Shot and the Ultra Shot, which have different names but all essentially do the same thing, allowing Seven to turn his hands into machine guns.
  • Generic Beams: Additionally, Seven can fire a variety of beams from his hands and eyes with different names but similar functionality. These are weaker than the Emerium Ray and Wide Shot, and are used to destroy lighter targets like spaceships or to shoot down enemies in the sky.
  • Ultra Barrier: Like most members of his kind, Ultraseven can create a barrier of energy in front of him to block incoming attacks. This blue wall of light was strong enough to shut out the frost wave which froze the Land of Light and neutralized the entirety of the Intergalactic Defense Force.
  • Body Spark: In a pinch, Ultraseven can release energy from his entire body, which he used as a flashbang technique to blind his opponents. Later showings in the series portray the technique as a pulse of energy that frees the Ultra from bindings and electrocutes the assailant.

Eye Slugger: Seven's mohawk isn't for show, it's a powerful blade of the Land of Light that he has mastered. In battle, Ultraseven can wield the Eye Slugger as a handheld machete, slashing and hacking at opponents with staggering brutality. In particular, Seven is known to go straight for the kill, aiming for major arteries and exposed joints to take an enemy out of the fight. Despite its short length, he is also skilled enough in its use to clash evenly against enemies like Juda Spectre, who wields a much longer sword.

  • Eye Slugger Throw: Although he sometimes uses it in melee, Seven's most iconic use of the Eye Slugger is as a thrown weapon. Used in this manner, the weapon is strong enough to cleave straight through kaijus and dismember aliens. He also uses his psychic powers to control its trajectory, bringing it back to him after a throw or making it home in on a target. This also means any opponent that catches and throws back the Eye Slugger will have it launched right back through telekinesis.
  • Ultra Knock Tactics: A combination technique of his Eye Slugger and Ultra Willpower, Seven holds the weapon in place in the air with his telekinesis, forcing it into a state of restrained momentum, then uses his superhuman strength to strike it and catapult it forward with all of its stored energy. This makes the attack 10 times more powerful than normal, and is possibly Seven's strongest technique.

Psychic Powers: Seven is an oddity among the Red Tribe, in that he makes frequent use of his psychic powers in battle to complement his physical abilities. This has led to his reputaiton as a great master of telekinesis:

  • Ultra Willpower: The most basic Ultra Willpower is Seven's bread and butter. He is notably violent and aggressive in its use, throwing enemies around and tripping them as well as forcing full-body paralysis. Seven's potency with the Ultra Willpower is such that even in a depowered human form, he was capable of completely paralyzing giant kaijus and even fellow Ultras.
  • Ultra Psychokinesis: Seven possesses a much more direct variant of Ultraman's Ultra Psychokinesis. His version skips steps such as the psychic spiral and rendering enemies unconscious, instead going straight for the kill: Seven hurls the enemy with telekinesis then causes them to explode.
  • Telepathy: Ultraseven can speak to others through his mind, the most common form of communication amongst the Ultras who have lost articulate mouths. Although this ability can, in theory, be used to cause harm onto one's mind, as demonstrated by Mebius, Ultraseven has never been seen using it in such a manner.

X-Factors[]

Physicality: Like all of his kind, Ultraseven's physical power is tremendous. He can battle kaijus weighing hundreds of thousands of tons, even tearing their limbs apart with his bare hands, and could easily escape the gravitational pull of the sun and withstand the pull of a black hole. He is comparable to Jack, who withstood the pressure of the living black hole Vaccuumon, and can routinely travel between the Land of Light and the Earth in short periods of time. He also survived a planet-busting explosion and tore the arm off of Star Bem Gyeron, who survived the explosion of its home planet. In recent years, he has been seen trading blows equally with the universe-destroyer Juda Spectre and was one of the only warriors to fight on even footing with Absolute Tartarus, whose subordinate, Absolute Diavolo, destroyed multiple universes at once. He is shown to be an equal of Joneus, who could fly to and back from the edge of the universe, and easily outmaneuvered his disciple Leo in a spar.

Experience and Skill: Seven is over 30 000 years old and, alongside his brothers in arms, has fought a great variety of enemies. In particular, Seven's expertise is with alien criminals and invaders, filling his resume with the elimination of various skilled fighters and criminal masterminds such as Alien Chibul, who has an IQ of 50 000. He also trained Leo, who is known to be among the best martial artists in the Intergalactic Defense Force, a testament to his martial skill. However, Ultraseven's entry into the Force was notably late, as he was still a Stationary Post Observer by the time of his series, which took place some 10 000 years before the current point in the timeline. The job would have entailed some combat no doubt, as was shown on Earth and by the dangerous work conditions of Civilization Overseers like Max and Ribut, but he wouldn't have been a warrior by profession.

Fighting Style: Compared to Ultraman, Seven is shown to be a very aggressive and violent warrior who overwhelms targets with a terrifying offensive, hence his title of "the Crimson Fighter". His fighting style is heavily based on strikes modelled after karate and boxing, and he performs best up close where he can utilize his martial arts and Eye Slugger. To this end, he frequently aims for critical points in the body like the joints and the throat, which he cleaves open with his blade. He also incorporates his psychic abilities in this mix to throw enemies off balance and leave them open to critical attacks, most often his powerful beams or a throw of the Eye Slugger. When working with his brothers, he also has been known to use his telekinesis to restrain and paralyze enemies so the others can wail on them.

Zoffy cinematic
Human. You have finally come here on your own. One day, the time will come when our kinds soar across the stars shoulder to shoulder. Until then, we will be your world's shield.
— Zoffy

Tens of thousands of years ago, in the distant edges of the cosmos, the forces of darkness and light collided head to head. The Ultras of the Land of Light battled the monster army led by the Dark Emperor of the Universe, Empera, in a war which spanned the universe. By the end, the Ultras were victorious but at a great cost: many of their warriors were slain, and the taint of darkness had corrupted one of their greatest heroes, Belial. Years later, the same Belial would rebel against his homeworld and attempt to steal the Plasma Spark's power for himself. Among the fighters who threw themselves against the rampaging turncoat was a young orphan of war, whose father had perished against Empera's army. 30 000 years later, it would be this young warrior who would become the Commander of the Intergalactic Defense Force, Zoffy.

As the commander of the IDF, Zoffy is the leader of all Ultras of the Land of Light bar his predecessor Ken and the godlike King, and the founder of the elite squadron known as the Ultra Brothers. He generally stays away from Earth, instead commanding his subordinates from the Land of Light and patrolling the universe in search of threats, but deploys to the front lines when his brothers are in danger or when powerful enemies appear that require his intervention. Although not as prominent in the series' many galactic battles, Zoffy is frequently portrayed as being the strongest of the Ultra Brothers, and stands a head above his peers through experience, wisdom and honed technique.

Powers and Abilities[]

Ultra Physiology: Zoffy, even amongst his kind, is an exceptional warrior. He is part of the Silver Tribe, like Ultraman, but possesses the Star Marks and the Ultra Breasters, powerful artifacts which amplify his energy and strength. His strength is considered to be greater than those of his brothers, to the point where he could stop an attack from Taro, who can punch holes through monsters and aliens, with a single hand, and his durability is such that he easily shrugged off Birdon's fire breath, which can critically injure Ultra Warriors.

  • Size Manipulation: Members of the Ultra race are capable of freely manipulating their physical size, sometimes small enough to enter human blood vessels and other times towering over skyscrapers. Zoffy himself has not used this ability on screen, but it can be inferred that he is capable of it as it is inherent to the Ultra race and to most of the series' aliens.
Zoffy's Star Marks and Ultra Breaster give him deeper energy reserves, and he can fight for extended periods of time without worrying about his color timer blinking.
  • Ultra Armor: The silver skin of an Ultra affords great protection, which is hardly ever breached. Only extremely powerful monsters and aliens have been known to pierce it, and slashes and stabs usually glance off its surface with sparks instead of lasting damage. Zoffy has effortlessly shrugged off Birdon's Volganic Fire, which can leave Ultra Warriors mortally wounded, and even as a youth was able to survive multiple attacks and a powerful electric beam from Belial after he had taken the power of the Plasma Spark. In this state, Belial could defeat regular Ultra Warriors with a single strike, but Zoffy nonetheless threw himself against the traitor again and again.
  • Enhanced Senses: Although Zoffy's senses have not been shown on screen, it can be assumed that he has enhanced vision and hearing much like the rest of his kind. For example, he could spot the despot monster Tyrant on Pluto while he was patrolling the outer space of the Solar System.

Flight: Zoffy is amongst the most prominent fliers of the Intergalactic Defense Force. He frequently flies between the Land of Light and Earth, and can even do so while carrying other Ultra Warriors like Taro. He is also shown patrolling the universe to pre-emptively discover and foil invasion plans, and could easily take on an entire fleet of spaceships on his own.

Energy Projection: Out of all Ultra Warriors, Zoffy is considered to be one of the greatest masters of beam techniques. Before the events of the series, he won the Land of Light Olympics by firing the most powerful beam known to the planet's history, surpassing even his predecessor and mentor, Ultraman Ken/Father of Ultra.

  • Spacium Ray: Zoffy can use the Spacium Ray, much like all Ultra Warriors. Although it is unknown whether he is as skilled with it as Ultraman, he nonetheless seems to be more proficient than the average warrior given his specific usage of the technique alongside Jack and Man.
  • B-Style Ray: Zoffy, like most Ultra Warriors, has modified the Spacium Ray to fit his style. The B-Style Ray is a red beam of energy fired from his crossed arms which can destroy monsters in a single hit. It is, in essence, his version of the Wide Shot, and a variant of the M87 Ray.
  • M87 Ray: The Miracle 87 Ray is Zoffy's most powerful technique and, indeed, the mightiest technique of any individual Ultra Warrior. Fired from his outstretched right arm and boasting a temperature of 870 000 degrees celsius, such is its power that it supassed Ultraman Ken's beam at the Land of Light Olympics, and has repeatedly been hailed as the strongest beam in the universe. Even other Ultras are blown to bits from a single hit. In particular, Zoffy used it to help defeat Alien Empera, the Land of Light's greatest nemesis who took over the universe and was utterly unfazed by the attacks of powerful Ultra Warriors and aliens.
  • Z-Ray: Zoffy can fire destructive bolts of lightning from the tip of his fingers which momentarily paralyze enemies upon impact. These were strong enough to push back Belial after he was empowered by the Absoluteans to the point of shattering the barriers of multiple elite Ultra Warriors at once.
  • Ultra Freezer: Zoffy can shoot a freezing mist from his hands that envelops a target in ice and frost. Besides combat, it can also be used to safeguard the bodies of fallen comrades for resuscitation.
  • Ultra Crossguard: Although he likely can, Zoffy has not been seen using barriers of light like his brothers. Instead, he focuses energy in his forearms to cross them together and block incoming attacks. Although not as large, the technique's defensive power seems comparable to his comrades' barriers.
  • Ultra Charge: Like his brothers, Zoffy can share his energy to other Ultras to replenish their strength or empower their attacks. Notably, however, Zoffy's massive energy reserves allow him to fully recharge three Ultra Warriors at once, including two Ultra Brothers, without showing any signs of exhaustion and still operating a full capacity.
  • Grand Spark: All Ultra Brothers can use the Grand Spark, a technique where they fire their beams in unison to greatly amplify their power. Used in unison between the 5 Ultra Brothers, it increased the strength of their beams by several dozens of times.

Psychic Powers: As a member of the Silver Tribe, Zoffy is assumedly talented in the usage of psychic powers. Although he is not seen using them in particularly offensive ways compared to his brothers, he has nonetheless shown great talent and skill:

  • Ultra Willpower: Zoffy has never used the Ultra Willpower in combat, but did demonstrate the ability when lifting Ultraman's unconscious body off the ground to bring it back to the Land of Light. It is likely he can use it like Ultraman or Ultraseven if he wished to, but does not incorporate it into his fighting style.
  • Telepathy: Zoffy is a capable telepath, relaying information over vast distances through thought and mind. He uses this ability to command his allies in battle, and serves as an expert leader of the Intergalactic Defense Force.
  • Teleportation: Out of all Ultra Warriors, Zoffy is considered the greatest master of teleportation. Unlike Ultraman, he does not show any signs of fatigue when using it, and can even teleport into alternate dimensions such as Yapool's or Alien Bat's. He uses this ability to come to the rescue of his brothers and join them in battle wherever they are, as well as to transport allies with him.

Gadgets: As the team's big brother, it often falls unto Zoffy to save the other Ultras when they are in danger. To this end, he uses a variety of gadgets developed in the Land of Light:

  • Ultra Converter: A bracelet that replenishes the wearer's energy as long as it is worn. It was potent enough to bring Ace back from the brink of death to full capacity within moments, and later did the same to Zero. Zoffy usually wears it himself before transferring it to teammates that need it. For the sake of this battle, he will have one Ultra Converter.
  • Lives: Zoffy's friend, Hikari, is a genius scientist who dveloped the technology to give form to life. Through it, Zoffy can carry life essence to grant to the dead or near dead and bring them back. For this battle, he will have two lives on him.
  • Ultra Magic Ray: A powerful bracelet-like artifact that was capable of evaporating an entire lake in one go. However, its efficiency in combat is unknown as this is all it was ever used for. Zoffy will carry one of them into battle.

X-Factors[]

Physicality: Zoffy, even compared to his brothers, is portrayed as physically imposing and capable. He can lift hundreds of thousands of tons and stopped a kick from Taro with one hand, the latter being strong enough to punch holes straight through aliens and monsters. Together with Man and Seven, he slowed down the advance of Beatstar's planet-sized spaceship. Of course, Zoffy also scales to Jack, who flew inside a living black hole and was just fine. His striking strength also seems to be greater, as his regular physical strikes caused sparks to erupt from Mold Spectre's body, while the other warriors had to put a lot of strength into their attacks to achieve the same. In addition, Zoffy seems to be even faster than his brothers in arms: he caught Taro with a chop before the latter could react, and could avoid attacks from Taro and his son Taiga simultaneously. Zoffy's stamina is also impressive: even before the timeskip which made all the Ultra Brothers significantly stronger, he could make three trips between the Land of Light and Earth, one carrying the 55 000 tons Taro, and still had a blue color timer.

Skill and Experience: Zoffy is the eldest and most experienced of the Ultra Brothers, and achieved his position through countless acts of valor on the battlefield. He fought in the Ultimate Wars, 40 000 years before the current events of the Ultra Series, and even participated in the Belial Revolt, where he attempted to subdue the renegade Ultra. Since then, he has faced various threats to the universe, such as the extradimensional demon Yapool, the fusion monster Tyrant and the alien invader Temperor. The Star Marks, the badges on his chest, are symbols of his outstanding service against a monster army invading the Land of Light. In addition, Zoffy has gone to other universes as well, fighting the demonic Gua Brothers, who threatened to destroy the universe, and defeating Maga Orochi, the most powerful of the Demon King Beasts. Zoffy is also highly intelligent and invented the Ultra Bracelet, a multipurpose weapon now issued to the Intergalactic Defense Force which can transform into various forms.

Fighting Style: Zoffy's style, from what we have seen, is focused around deflection and acrobatic counterattacks. He blocks, dodges and parries incoming attacks to leave the enemy off balance, then quickly retaliates with powerful blows even stronger than those of his brothers. His martial arts seem to be based on karate and taekwondo, but are not as clear in their inspirations as those of Ultraman or Seven. In addition, if any any point in the battle he is capable of building space between him and his enemy, he will quickly resort to his powerful beam techniques to try and land a critical hit.
