Hey guys! It's me. Just came by to visit and refresh my writing skills. Glad to see that this place is booming with new members and new ideas. Amazing!

Right now, I thought of making a battle using my favorite series. Hopefully this will also give battle to one of the warriors who got their battles disregarded.

Black Dragons[]

The Black Dragon is a faction, a clan of mercenaries, in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. According to legend, the Black Dragon split from its parent organization, the Red Dragon and was founded by Morihei Uyeshiba in the first half of the 20th century. The reason the Black Dragon was founded was a deep-rooted discontent with the strict codes of honor and stealth that pervaded the Red Dragon. While the Black Dragon garnered notoriety around the world, the Red Dragon marked every renegade for death, and the United States government formed the Special Forces to deal with the activities of both clans. There are three types of members in the Black Dragon: the superhuman leaders who orders and directs the group (like Kano and Jarek), the mercenaries who is made up of a higher skilled members, and the thugs who are expendable criminal members and do the grunt work of the Black Dragon.

Katana

  • A katana is a Japanese sword characterized by a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands.
  • 3-feet long blade.

Chain Whip

  • The chain whip is a weapon used in some Chinese martial arts, particularly traditional Chinese disciplines as a flail weapon. It consists of several metal rods, which are joined end-to-end by rings to form a flexible chain. It is also one of the most difficult kung fu weapons and needs momentum and space to utilize effectively.
  • Length varies but can go up to 46 inches long. Their chain whip is purely a whip and lacks any spear end or heavy bludgeoning head.

  • Purple Dragons[]

Time for the Purple Dragons to remind this street who's really is in charge!
    — Arnold "Hun" Jones

The Purple Dragons are a street gang who frequent the neighborhoods near the Second Time Around shop. Previously they were under the leadership of Arnold "Hun" Jones and Brooklyn S. Bridge, until both men married and moved on with their lives. Many years later, Bridge's daughter Angel took over leadership of the Dragons, turning them less into a violent gang and more a vigilante group or a community watch. The Purple Dragons often clashed with the Foot Clan, who terrorized the neighborhood, and also had fought mutants like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Old Hob and Alopex. Notable members include Hun, Angel, Link, Malo and Chun. Under the leadership of Casey Jones, the Purple Dragons was put in the forefront in many battles in New York City.

    Baseball Bat

    • The baseball bat is a club-like "tool" used in the sport of baseball. The MLB regulations for a baseball bat are 2.75 inch diameter and a length of 34-inches or smaller. It can either be made from wood or metal.
    • 2.8 feet long.

    Machete

  • The Purple Dragons used what looks like a long straight knife/machete. It has a single-edged blade with a pointed tip for stabbing. It seemed to be 2-feet long and lacks a sword guard.
  • 7-inches long.

  • X-Factors[]

Little is known about the training of the Black Dragons but it can be assumed that they are knowledgeable in martial arts, stealth, criminal activities, and possibly military/militia training as well (they are a mercenary group). They seemed drilled and professional enough to act as Kano's private army in his missions around the world and outside of it.

The Purple Dragons are rooted in street fighting, and members were usually toughen up through violence. However, by the time of Angel and Casey Jones, the Purple Dragons became less brutal but gained the benefit of training mixed martial arts as well as traditional martial arts and ninjutu (courtesy of cross-training with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Foot Clan).

The Black Dragons has fought their fair shares of battles but most of their battles are against their superhuman rivals, the Red Dragons. Although they did fought Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs (who almost got their ass kicked if not for the intervention of Kano) and probably some skirmishes in the outworld, their experience is limited.

The Purple Dragons has fought a wider array of enemies ranging from criminals, other gangs, law enforcement, to superhumans. They fought a long war against Shredder and the Foot Clan for control over New York City. They also fought against mutants like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Old Hob and Alopex. They even successfully fought and stopped the alien invaders known as the Triceratons (a warrior-like race with advanced technology who invade and conquer other planets).

There's not really much to say when it comes to the tactics of the Black Dragons. They are mostly used by Kano to be ordered around to do his dirty work. If the Black Dragons are told by Kano and the other leaders to attack, then they will attack. Nothing special, nothing significant.

The Purple Dragons, at least, used tactics and strategies to fight against enemies who are stronger, faster, and more durable than they are. They can maneuver and strike with cunning, and utilize teamwork effectively against tough large foes (like during the Triceraton invasion).

    Note[]

    • Battle takes place in New York City. Five black dragons have been assigned to go to New York City to make a deal with dissident Foot Clan members. Their mission however is impeded by the appearance of the the Purple Dragons first. There will be no back-up for each group.
    • Votes do not need to be long but must at least be 4 sentences with good grammar, weapons and x-factor edges.
    • This will be Black Dragon clan as they appeared in MK X comics and Purple Dragons as they appeared in IDW comics.

    Expert's Opinion[]

Although the Black Dragon clan has an advantage when it comes to weapons, armor, and training, experts believe that the Purple Dragons, who have gone toe-to-toe with superhuman foes and alien warriors far more successfully than the Black Dragons, would prevail through better tactics and experience.
