AlteraVSIskandar

The first and probably only time I can do an episode of Fate/Deadliest Warrior using named warriors. At least until Fate adds a William the Conqueror, George Washington, and/or Sun Tzu. Although both of these Servants have already met on the field of battle, a combination of rules and loopholes have made this battle possible. Although Alexander was defeated in Deadliest Warrior and Iskandar was beaten by Altera Fate/EXTELLA for plot reasons, the King of Conquerors has the chance to redeem himself against the Scourge of God. Can he achieve victory this time? Or will Altera score her third victory and solidify her superiority over her Macedonian foe?

Iskandar[]

IskandarFGO
A king must live a life more vivid than any other and be a figure for all to admire. The king is the one who collects the envy of all his heroes and stands as their guide. Therefore, the king is not alone.
— Iskandar

Iskandar, known historically as Alexander the Great, was a Greek general known for conquering the known world and never losing a battle. Ascending the throne at the age of 20, Alexander annexed the hostile Greek city-states to the south before moving to the east, clashing with the Persian Empire, led by Darius III. Victorious, Alexander, now going by Iskandar, lead his men into India and planned to go even further, wishing to set his eyes on Oceanus, the mythical ocean at the end of the world. But he would never meet this goal. His men were tired of the endless war and forced him to return home where they could live off the spoils of war. Upon reaching Babylon, Iskandar died and his empire shattered.

Should Iskandar gain the Holy Grail he would wish for mortality, so he could have a second shot at conquering the world.

Class Skills

  • Magic Resistance D: A Skill that protects the Servant against magical attacks. At rank D it cancels single-action spells.
  • Riding A+: The signature Skill of the Rider class that the denotes the ability of the Servant to ride mounts and vehicles. At rank A the Servant can ride all vehicles and creatures up to the level of Phantasmal and Divine Beasts.

Personal Skill

  • Charisma A: A a composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. With rank A, Iskandar can become as popular as a human can possibly be.
  • Divinity C: A Skill measures one's divinity. According to many stories, it is said that Iskandar is the son of Zeus, despite clear evidence.
  • Tactics B: The tactical knowledge used for battles where one commands and/or is fighting against an army.

  • Ionioi Hetairoi: An EX rank anti-army Noble Phantasm. Once it is invoked, Ionioi Hetaroi creates a pocket dimension in the form of a desert and summons every soldier that served Iskandar in life. Most soldiers are equipped with classical Greek armor, pikes, swords, and javelins and posses E- rank Independent Action, giving them a small mana supply that allows them to act without a Master. Inside Ionioi Hetairoi, Iskandar prefers to ride his horse Bucephalus, though the Gordius Wheel can still be used. Ionioi Hetairoi lasts 30 turns (whatever that means) and ends if Iskandar is killed. Because it takes a lot of mana to use, Iskandar uses it only as a last restort.
  • Gordius Wheel: A truck-sized antique war chariot that is led by two Divine Bulls. It has two large, curved sickles on its sides used to demolish surrounding obstacles and hurl the debris at enemies. The bulls and the chariot tread atop lightning strikes, allowing it to also move through the air just as easily as it travels atop the ground.
    • Via Expugnatio: An A+ rank anti-army Noble Phantasm. A powerful attack performed by the Gordius Wheel. The heavenly bulls charge towards their enemy, causing lightning to strike around them as they drag the chariot with them. It is fast enough to keep up with Atoria's Excalibur and jump forward 100 meters in an instant.

  • Sword of Cypriots: A sphata given to him by the King of the Cypriots in life. Strong and light-weight, the blade can be wielded with great dexterity. Though it is not noted to be a Noble Phantasm itself, it is utilized in the invocation of both of Iskandar's Noble Phantasms.
  • Armor: Iskandar's armor exists out of a chestplate, cuffs and greaves.

  • Altera[]

    Altera
I shall leave the thinking and feeling to you. I will do the dirty work without uttering a word, like a savage robot who neither thinks nor feels. That's just how I am...
    — Altera

Altera, known historically as Attila the Hun, was the king and chieftain of the Huns who laid waste to Rome. After the destruction of Sefar, a Velber send to Earth to destroy civilization, at the hands of the Greek gods, Altera was born from her core. Years later, she was found by the Huns, who, after witnessing her kill one of their warriors, believed her to be destruction personified. Taking leadership of the Huns and driven by her Velber nature, Altera laid waste to Rome, the strongest civilization in Europe. Her desire for civilization destruction would ultimately lead to her own death and the Hunnic Empire collapsed soon after.

Since the Holy Grail records all history, Altera wishes to destroy it should she get her hands on it, perhaps out of shame of all the destruction she caused.

    • Endurance: A
    • Agility: A
    • Mana: B
    • Luck: A

    Personal Skill

    • Magic Resistance B: A skill that protects the Servant against magical attacks. At Rank B it cancels spells with a chant below three verses and increases resistance to greater magecraft and Greater Rituals.
    • Riding A: The ability to ride mounts and vehicles. At Rank A all vehicles and creatures but Phantasmal and Divine Beasts can be used as mounts.

    Personal Skill

    • Civilization Erosion EX: Anything Altera grasps transforms into what she considers to be the best version of itself. Usually, this ends up being her Photon Ray sword.
    • Crest of the Star EX: The unique pattern imprinted on Altera's body through which she can expand mana to temporarily enhance the performance of any desired part of the body. It costs very little mana to use, but lacks the explosive power of Mana Burst, a Skill that likewise boosts the user's power by burning mana. In addition, this unique Skill also has the effects of Instinct, a Skill that allows the user to determine the best course of action mid-battle and calculate the trajectory of projectiles.
    • Divinity B: A Skill that measures one's divinity. Although not divine by blood, Altera's reputation as the Scourge of God gave her a high level of divinity.
    • Natural Body D: A Skill that denotes the possession of the perfect body. At rank D, Altera can temporarily rank up her strength.
    • Tactics B: The tactical knowledge used for battles where one commands and/or is fighting against an army.

  • Photon Ray: An A- rank anti-army Noble Phantasm. The sword of Altera which is shaped like a longsword with a somewhat futuristic design. The blade of the sword, formed of tricolored bands of light. When its true power is activated, Altera charges at her enemy while rainbow-colored mana rotates around the blade, allowing her to destroy an entire enemy camp in one blow.
  • Teardrop Photon Ray: An A++ rank anti-army/anti-fortress Noble Phantasm. By pointing a laser at the sky from the pommel of the Photon Ray, Altera lets Mars know her location. Since Mars hates Altera, he fires a ray of energy at her from the sky, which then usurps control over and redirects at her target. Because she uses the energy a Divine Spirit, this Noble Phantasm is incredibly destructive, but requires a lot of mana to use.

  • Notes[]

The battle takes place in a razed town surrounded by a forest.

    Voting Rules[]

    • The battle can end until either warrior is dead, knocked out, has retreated, or is otherwise wounded to the point they can no longer fight.
    • Voting ends when I decide I have had enough votes.
    • A good rebuttal can knock a vote down to half a point.
