Kei Amemura, better known as the Nahobino, is the protagonist of the role-playing video game Shin Megami Tensei V. Once an ordinary high school student, Amemura fuses with a demon and finds himself in a position to reshape reality.
Amemura's normal life in Tokyo ended when he was pulled into Da'at, a demon-infested netherworld. To survive, Kei fused with a demon named Aogami, becoming a hybrid called a Nahobino. The Nahobino explored Da'at and uncovered a harrowing truth: Da'at was Earth, ravaged by a cataclysmic war between God and Lucifer. Lucifer emerged victorious, but God, with his dying breath, created a replica of Tokyo as a sanctuary for humanity.
Returning to the artificial Tokyo, the Nahobino joined Bethel, an organization of humans and demons committed to safeguarding humanity. He played a crucial role in defeating the remnants of Lucifer's army. However, Kei's existence posed a dilemma for Bethel. Divine decree had prohibited any Nahobino's existence. Thus, Kei was living proof of God's demise. Bethel split into factions, each vying to install their own Nahobino upon God's Throne of Creation.
After a journey fraught with difficult decisions, the Nahobino reached the Throne and faced a choice. He could restore the world according to God's design, reestablishing the old order; he could allow myriad gods to govern reality, ushering in an era of polytheistic rule; he could destroy the Throne and let humanity fend for itself; or he could purge reality of all gods and demons, creating a world for humanity alone.
