— Shipwreck

Shipwreck, real name Hector X. Delgado, is a character from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero franchise. He is an expert sailor and member of G.I. Joe. Because of his casual attitude, Shipwreck has earned a reputation of being arrogant and brash, though not to the point he would disobey direct orders from a superior.

Growing up near the San Diego Navy Yards, Shipwreck had a profound interest in the Navy and enlisted at the age of sixteen with his parent's permission. He graduated from the Great Lakes Naval Gunnery School and served time at Gitmo as a guard before moving on to carrier operations in the Middle East, and participating in patrolling actions in the Mekong Delta and Yokosuka. Because of his accomplishments as a sailor, Shipwreck was allowed to join G.I. Joe. Because of his brash attitude, his superiors send him to Navy SEAL School in the hopes of instilling some discipline, though this didn't work.

Shipwreck is a qualified expert with the M-14, M-16, Browning .50 cal., 20mm Oerlikon AA gun, and the M1911A1 Auto Pistol. Because of his training Great Lakes Naval Gunnery School, he has achieved the rank of gunner's mate. He dislikes the use of high tech gadgets in the field, preferring to use conventional firearms instead.
