Shen's Wolf Army is an antagonistic faction featured in the animated film Kung Fu Panda 2. As their name suggests, they are a pack of wolves loyal to Lord Shen. They were led by Boss Wolf.
The wolves once served as the royal guard of Gongmen City. The only member of the royal family to befriend them was Shen, who was the crown prince at the time. Because of this, the wolves swore allegiance to him. When Shen learned of a prophecy that a panda warrior would one day defeat him, he sent his wolf army to massacre the Panda Village, hoping they would kill the panda destined to beat him and prevent the prophecy from coming to pass. Upon learning of this, Shen's parents became disgusted with their son and banished him along with his wolves.
Over the following twenty years, Shen and his wolves labored to create cannons, which they succeeded in. However, during their raids to the Valley of Peace to obtain iron for the cannons, the wolf army encountered its protectors, the Furious Five and the Dragon Warrior Po, one of the few surviving pandas, who pursued them. In the meantime, Shen returned to Gongmen City, which he easily conquered with his cannons. Later, Po and Furious Five arrived and attempted to liberate the city by freeing the kung fu masters Shen had captured, only to be taken prisoner themselves, with Po seemingly being killed.
Just as Shen set out with his armada to conquer the rest of China, Po reappeared, revealing that he survived and attacked the wolves. Meanwhile, the Five and the kung fu masters were freed and bolstered Po's efforts. In response, Shen ordered Boss Wolf to fire on the warriors, which would come at great cost to his men. Though Boss Wolf refused, Shen killed him and fired the cannons himself, killing most of the wolf army.
