Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil. Grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
— Shaun's plan to survive ZDay

Shaun James Riley is the titular protagonist from the film Shaun of the Dead. Once an electronics store employee, with no direction in life, a dead-end job, and a poor relationship with his girlfriend and family, Shaun came into his own and was forced to mature once the zombie virus spread across the United Kingdom.

First Shaun and Ed went to save Shaun's mother, Barbra, and kill his infected stepfather Philip but were ultimately forced to bring Philip with them since he hadn't turned into a zombie yet next they picked up Shaun's ex Liz and her friends David and Diane, though they were ultimately forced to abandon the car they were in once Philip turned, forcing them to continue on foot through some backyards, as the streets were flooded with zombies, during which Barbra got bitten which she did not reveal to the rest of the group as she feared she would bother the rest.

Finally, the group reached The Winchester, a pub where Shaun planned for them to hide out in. Ed, however, drew the horde's attention when he answered his phone. This prompted David to break a window in order to get while Shaun led the zombies away from the group. They seek refuge inside the Winchester and barricade the broken window, where Shaun rejoins them.

Later the zombies following Shaun made their way back to the pub. Barbra reveals she got bitten and turns into a zombie soon after, forcing Shaun to kill her. Soon after the zombie horde breaks in after the jukebox is accidentally activated. In the ensuing chaos, David is disemboweled, Diana rushes into the horde to save him, Ed is bitten and the pub is lightened on fire. Shaun, Liz, and Ed rush into the cellar and discover a barrel hatch elevator that opens to the outside. With Ed volunteering to stay behind, Shaun and Liz make their way up to the streets, preparing themselves to face the remaining zombies only for the British Army to arrive and save them.

Six months later civilization has returned to normal, zombies are used for entertainment and cheap labor, Shaun and Liz are a couple again, and Shaun keeps a zombified Ed in the shed to play video games with.

Battle vs. Coach (by Wassboss)[]

No battle was written.

Expert's Opinion[]

Coach won because of his superior skill with a firearm. While Shaun has the better close range weaponry his usage and skill was awful and he could rarely hit an opponent let alone get a lethal shot with it. Coach on the other hand was very skilled and proficient with a firearm and thus could stop Shaun from getting close enough to push his melee weaponry advantage.

Battle vs. Jack and Jerry alongside Ed (by SkullinBones1)[]

It was near midnight when the 2 men arrived at the gas station. I was sitting behind the counter, reading a book. Jerry was mopping up a spill from the frozen drink machine. It was a usual night for the gas station. But this changd when I heard the door open and noticed 2 men entering the building. As they passed by the shelves, they soon entered view. Both of them were covered in blood, one wearing what appeared to be an old tie as a form of head band. He had a name tag on, it saying the name Shaun. The other was fairly large, looking to be very over weight. Both carried weapons, Shaun one carrying a cricket bat and some sort of rifle slung across his back. The big guy was carrying a simple spade.

"Can I help you gentlemen" I said, secretly gripping the handle of the baseball bat under the counter. "We need to use your phone" Shaun said. "That will be 25 cents a minute" I said back to them. "25 cents a minute. What kind of criminal idea is that" Shaun said. " I don't make the rules man" I said, grabbing the bat solidly in my hand. "Well we don't have any American money" Shaun said. "Then I'm not allowed to let you use the phone then" I said back. Shaun then brandished his bat, his larger friend doing the same with his shovel. "we are using that phone, if you like it or not" the big guy said.

I knew that if I got into a scarp with these two, I wouldn't be able to last very long. And oddly, Jerry had just vanished from his post. "Were using that phone" Shaun said. But just then, I heard a loud yelling sound from the opening of the storage closet. Jerry was leaping out from the room, carrying one of Benjamins old crunch spears. "FUCK YOU ROBBER MEN" he shouted. The big guy automatically rushed at him in responce. I then took this moment of confusion to bring up my bat and swing at Shaun. Due to a mix of my poor skill, the blow fell short, striking the counter with a thunk. Shaun quickly reacted, taking a swing at my head. I dropped to the ground, his strike hitting the array of lotto tickets and being sent across the room.

I heard a scuffled behind me, ending in a loud scream. Shaun spun around and I got up. We both saw Jerry impaling the Big guy through the mid section with his spear. "Ed" Shaun yelled out. He dropped his bat and took up his rifle. He fired of a round, the round knicking Jerry's shoulder. Jerry then dove behind a shelf as gun fire continued. I took this moment to hobble off to the dry storage closet. I then heard different gun fire sound. I then walked over to the shelf a found that Jerry had taken the pistol. I also found the remains of the code red box. "Oh shit" I mouthed.

I looked out, seeing that Shaun and Jerry were both out of sight. This changed when I saw Jerry pop up from behind a shelf a fire of 3 shots at the top of one of the shelves. Moments after, Shaun lept up and fire off a round. Jerry then jumped up a fired off more rounds. But instead of Shaun returning fire, he had popped up with a make shift molotov in hand. He threw it in Jerry's direct, striking the wall. A fire began to burn on it. Jerry then took the moment to run towards the counter near me. He then popped up again, firing off several more rounds.

I then heard a click from it. "Shit, were out of ammo" he grunted as he dropped back down. We then heard Shaun shuffling towards the counter. I acted quick, popping up and swinging my bat at him. The weapon struck the club, causing it to fall from his hands. Jerry then threw the gun at him, the weapon striking his face with a smash. Shaun fell to the ground and shuffling towards the cold freezer. He quickly got into the room, trying to close the door. But before it fully closed, I saw Jerry throw something in there after him. It landed inside with a clink.

"Jerry did you just" I tried to say before he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door. As we both fell outside, a massive bang sounded just behind me. The cold freezer doors hand been smashed apart, the red sticky remains of Shaun spilling out all over the walls. The up side i that the blast pretty much extinguished the fire. The down side is that we had effectively blasted apart the gas station again.

Jerry got to his feet and walked back inside. "Well, that was fun" he grunted. "Jack, you should call the deputy" I sighed, pulling out and lighting a cigarette.

Winner: Jack and Jerry.

Expert's Opinion[]

This battle is very clear cut in its conclusion. Jack and Jerry were better equiped, more skilled and more intelligent over all. While Ed and Shaun aren't terrible in the grand scheme of things, they were weren't up to bat. The winner is Jack and Jerry.
