“ | Don't look away, then! Or you'll miss the Silver Streak!

Scherazard Harvey, also known as Schera, was born into extreme poverty. Stealing often simply to survive, she was eventually discovered by a circus troupe and taken in. She looked up to the owner as a father figure, and took his last name, as she was lacking one. She worked as a dancer, but was also taught how to use a whip and how to read tarot cards by Luciola, another orphan she came to look up to as an older sister. While the troupe performed in the Rolent region of Liberl, she got to know the Bright family. She quickly befriended Estelle and her parents, and visited them when she could.
After the death of the troupe's leader, she asked Cassius Bright to train her as a Bracer. He agreed, and she quickly became a surrogate older sister for Estelle, looking after the young girl while her father was away. She found great success as a Bracer, becoming known as the "Silver Streak." After Joshua was adopted into the Bright family, she took the two Bright children under her wing as they trained to become Bracers themselves. She administered their final exam, and assisted them in their first couple missions, meeting Olivier Lenheim during this time. She and Olivier become fast friends, despite her suspicions of him.
She parted ways with them for a bit, before reuniting with Estelle during Colonel Richard's coup attempt. She assists them in foiling it, and helps Estelle pick herself back up after Joshua leaves. After Estelle returns from additional Bracer training, her path depends on the player's choice. Should Estelle choose to partner with her, she will join up with her surrogate younger sister and keep her company as she unravels the plans of the secret society know as Ouroboros and searching for Joshua. Should Estelle partner with Agate Crossner instead, Schera will work alongside another rookie Bracer, Annelace, to investigate Ouroboros' movements.
Either way, she accompanies Estelle when a fog envelops Rolent. In the process of investigating it, Schera reunites with Luciola, learning that she is now an Enforcer, one of Ouroboros' elite fighters. Schera foiled Luciola's plans, and with Estelle's encouragement resolves to find out why she joined Ouroboros. The pair would come into conflict a few more times, culminating in the appearance of the Liber Ark over Valleria Lake. The floating city's manifestation also begins the Orbal Shutdown phenomenon, essentially a country-wide blackout that also prevents the use of magic.
After Olivier reveals his actual position as a prince of Erebonia, and his real name of Olivert Reise Arnor, Schera accompanies him and Estelle onto the Liber Ark to confront Luciola and stop Ouroboros. If Schera is in the party when they fight Luciola, the later reveals that she was in love with the troupe leader and pushed him off a cliff after he rebuffed her advances and planned to sell the troupe to a new leader. Talking things out with Schera inspires Luciola to take a break from Ouroboros, so she pretends to fall off the city. After foiling Ouroboros' plans, Schera stays in Liberl, despite striking a romantic relationship with Olivier. After a few months, she is then drawn into Phantasma due to Kevin Grahm accidentally activating an artifact. While there, she and Olivier make their relationship official.
She continues working as a Bracer in Liberl, eventually entering the Empire at Olivert's request to try and head off the Great Twilight. She was heartbroken after his airship, the Courageous, exploded with him inside. Following his prior instructions, she contacts her other Liberlian compatriots and organizes their infiltration of Erebonia. She then gets contacted by Olivert himself, and recruited to be his second-in-command on the Courageous II. After using it to prevent the completion of the Great Twilight, she retires from the Bracer Guild and marries Olivert, taking the name Scherezard Arnor.
Battle vs Balthier & Fran, alongside Olivert Reise Arnor (by Leolab)[]
Balthier and Fran extricate themselves from the wreckage of their bike, careful to snatch the stolen briefcase as they did. A couple potions chugged later, and they turn as a blonde man in a red coat and a silver-haired woman with a whip run out the one door leading to the roof. The cause of their crash, from what they could tell.
“We’d like that back, if you’d please,” Olivier says, flourishing his pistol, other hand behind his back.
“Why, you’re welcome to take it. If you can,” Balthier says, flourishing his own gun with a smug grin.
“Bloody ‘dashing rogues’ always needing the last quip,” Schera grumbles as the orbment in Olivier’s left hand glows behind him.
“Indeed,” Fran mutters.
“Schera, dearest?”
“Fran?”
As the rogues look to their partners in concern, the magic gathering around Olivier’s orbment fades. Fran gasps as she feels the magic start to materialize, and kicks Balthier out of the way as a rift opens between her and the edge of the roof, forcibly dragging her towards it. The sky pirates rise to their feet, separated. Schera turns and runs at the Hume, whip lashing out as Olivier and the Viera prepare spells.
As the lash speeds towards the briefcase, a quick blast from Balthier sends it off course. He fires again, but a quick flick of the barbed tip sends the shot ricocheting elsewhere. Another strike zooms towards the former Judge as Olivier and Fran finish casting their spells. A shield of magic surrounds Fran, redirecting the outpouring of orbal energy from the prince. Olivier swerves, dodging a set of sharp lances that shoot up from the ground where he had been standing.
He traces a symbol on his partner’s shirt as the sky pirates start to ready abilities, a faint glow surrounding them. Another glow surrounds Schera as Olivier fires at Balthier, a graze forcing the other man to break off his charge. He flips his pistol up into the air, catching it with his other hand and firing at Fran, taking off part of her ear. The light around her fades as she hisses in pain, and she quickly knocks and fires an arrow as Schera finishes her spell.
A shard of earth materializes in front of the Bracer and the prince, blocking an arrow and a bullet as the latter readies another spell. Fran quickly casts another as Schera gives her boyfriend a nudge with the whip to speed up his casting. A reflective shell surrounds Olivier as space compresses near Balthier, throwing off the sky pirate’s aim. His shot clips Fran’s bow, and the Erebonian prince doesn’t miss his chance to fire, letting off a flurry of shots that rip through her face and throat.
Balthier barely has time to gasp in surprise before a lash of Schera’s whip tears his throat out, leaving the sky pirate pair dead.
Expert's Opinion[]
Both pairs of warriors were highly skilled, but Balthier and Fan's teamwork wasn't able to overpower the sheer breadth of options Olivier and Scherazard had at their disposal.
