SPECTRE is a dedicated fraternity whose strength lies in the absolute integrity of its members.
— Ernst Stavro Blofeld

The Special Executive for Counterintelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion (SPECTRE) is a shadowy criminal syndicate created and originally led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Though an apolitical organization, its recruits come from various authoritarian dictatorships, including the Gestapo and Josip Broz Tito's secret police. Throughout its history, SPECTRE has been dismantled through the actions of James Bond before reforming in one way or another.

True to its company like nature SPECTRE is lead by a headboard of 21 members, each assigned with a number which would always rotate by two digits every month to protect the identities of its members, though Blofeld and his second-in-command Emilio Largo would always have the numbers 1 and 2 respectively. Failure is not tolerated within the organization and members who fail their mission or do something to harm its image were often executed.

Its goals vary depending on incarnation. Some versions of SPECTRE simply look to make a profit by lending their services to nations or other powerful organizations or hold lofty goals of world domination.

In a ruined, Middle Eastern city, five SPECTRE operatives exit a bunker, having recovered some key intel. They get into two jeeps to return to their base, not knowing five OpFor soldiers have been alerted to their presence. As the jeeps begin to depart, an OpFor soldier takes up position on a nearby rooftop with an RPG-7. He takes aim and fires, hitting the first jeep and killing the driver. Grey The other SPECTRE agents respond quickly, getting out of their jeeps and firing at the RPG gunner, who takes cover. More OpFor men come out from cover, shooting with their AK-74us. Seeing this heavy resistance, the SPECTRE men take cover in a nearby school, with the OpFor soldiers following.

Two SPECTRE agents, having split off from the rest, carefully walk down one of the abandoned hallways. Meanwhile, the OpFor leader takes up position on another rooftop, discarding his empty RPG in favor of a Dragunov. He takes aim at the back SPECTRE agent and fires, killing him. Grey The man in front takes cover in a classroom. Another OpFor man happens to come into the same room, and the SPECTRE agent kills him with his Skorpion. Darkred

Meanwhile, the SPECTRE leader and another man enter the cafeteria, finding the two other OpFor soldiers inside. They open fire on each other, with two men on each side soon going down. GreyDarkred The SPECTRE boss, seeing his comrade go down, sneaks under the tables, gunfire going off around him. The OpFor man runs out of ammo, just as the SPECTRE boss comes out, shoe knife at the ready. He kicks the OpFor soldier twice in the chest, and he goes down, frothing at the mouth.Darkred

The OpFor boss enters the school through a window, having gotten out his G-18 pistol. He investigates the classroom the other SPECTRE agent entered, only to be fired on with an AR7. The OpFor boss returns fire, killing the SPECTRE man. Grey Hearing the gunfire, the SPECTRE boss sneaks up behind the OpFor boss, readying his garrote. He attempts to strangle his foe, and the two start struggling. Desperate, the OpFor commander rams the boss into a wall, finally managing to shake him loose. Before the SPECTRE boss can recover, the OpFor leader sprays him with a burst from his G-18. Grey Searching the body, the OpFor boss recovers the intel, radioing back to his base with the message "Almanteka mahmeyah." ("Area clear.")

Winner: OpFor

Expert's Opinion[]

While SPECTRE was quite a powerful organization, they were mainly used to fighting intelligence organizations. Against a military force like OpFor, weapons like the poisoned shoe knife and wristwatch garrote stood little chance.

The battle was declared invalid because SPECTRE was given a Skorpion SMG-61 despite never using one.
