German science is the greatest in the world!
— Rudol von Stroheim

Rudol von Stroheim is an Waffen-SS Standartenführer. He was originally in charge of the Nazi research team that was researching the Pillar Man Santana. After he sacrificed himself to stop Santana from escaping to the outside world, he was revived by secret Nazi technology and rebuild into a cyborg.

At an unknown point, Stroheim's research team got in the possession of a humanoid man trapped inside of a pillar found somewhere in Mexico. Stroheim dubbed the man "Satana" after the warm Mexican winds. Not soon after, his team captured an injured Robert E.O. Speedwagon, who had also done some research into the so-called "Pillar Men", and interrogates him.

During the interrogation, however, Santana breaches containment and murders the guards. Soon after, Joseph Joestar, who had infiltrated the base in order to save Speedwagon, reveals himself and tries to stop Santana from breaking out of the facility. Though Stroheim appears to be cowardly at the start, he proves to be courageous when he blows himself up in an attempt to kill the escaped Pillar Man, but not before instructing Joseph to look for Lisa Lisa.

Despite his death, Stroheim was revived by secret Nazi technology and got rebuild into a cyborg build to kill the remaining Pillar Men. He once again met up with Joseph and his allies and proved to be a viable asset. After the defeat of the Pillar Men, Stroheim continued to serve Nazi Germany up until his death in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Battle vs. The Black Cleaver (by Wassboss)[]

Auron Tenebrae, High Priest of the Necromancy Temple in Ireland, pulls the lapels of his jacket up to cover his face from the stiff breeze as he waits. He had never been a fan of the cold even as a younger man but now his old bones seem especially susceptible to the winter's frost. Glancing over at his bodyguard, a tall man dressed in a white with a scythe strapped across his back he envies his indifference. Can the undead even feel the effects of the cold? His musings are interrupted by the a arrival of a small Volkswagen beetle which pulls up right next to the pair. Out steps a youngish looking man, dressed in black robes much like Tenebrae minus the winter jacket. He is Tibur Lockley recently appointed High Priest of the German branch of the Necromancy Temple.

"Ah Auron it is so good to see you again" he says cheerfully.

"And you likewise Tibur," he responds tersely. Tibur eyes his bodyguard nervously.

"I didn't know you could get Cleavers for private useage?"

"Yes well this one isn't you standard Cleaver. But enough with the small talk I'm freezing out here."

Tibur smiles. "Blunt as ever I see. Very well then if you'd like to follow me." He leads Tenebrae and the White Cleaver into the forest. The ground is uneven and the path they are using is barely a path at all, if you weren't specifically looking for it you would never even know it was there. After a few miles of walking they reach a thick layer of vegetation. Tenebrae gestures for the Cleaver to slice through it but Tibur holds his hand to stop him and shadows pull the brush apart to allow them through. On the other side sits a small shack, old and run down. Tibur gives the door a gentle push and it creaks open to reveal a stone staircase leading down. Producing a flashlight from his robe they descend, eventually reaching a solid metal door with a large circular symbol carved into it.

"Hold this steady would you" Tibur says handing his torch to Tenebrae. He kneels down and begins to trace his hand across the symbol carefully, talking as he does. "You know this place has been owned by the Necromancy Temple for centuries but it's only recently that this chamber was rediscovered? After the war it was taken over by a splinter group who worked for the Nazi's during WW2 who used it for god knows what before they disappeared, probably killed or imprisoned by the Soviets. It was only after I was appointed High Priest that it came to our attention again."

"That is certainly a curious tale but I don't understand what that has to do with me" Tenebrae says bluntly. Tibur finishes tracing the symbol and the door opens to reveal a high tech scientific laboratory on the other side.

"Well you see Auron you're a much more knowledgeable Necromancer than I am. I was hoping you might be able to help us understand what is going on in here." He leads him further into the laboratory, past long abandoned science-magic equipment coated in dust from decades of disuse. At the furthest corner of the lab the room opens up considerably to reveal a large tube filled with fluid and a man's body encased within. Dressed in a green military uniform, he has light blonde hair and what appears to be some sort of metal mask covering the right eye and surrounding area. "This has been the most interesting discovery. We don't know who this man is or why he's down here but preliminary studies show that his body is mostly cybernetic but interestingly no traces of magic so we know he wasn't a mage."

As Tibur is speaking Tenebrae studies the curious specimen. Suddenly he sees a flicker of movement, as if the man within has just flexed his fingers. "This man, do we know if he's still alive?"

Tibur shakes his head. "It's almost impossible he would have been able to survive down here for as long as this without proper scientific care. Apparently the mechanical parts of him would still function but all brain activity would have ceased long ago." Satisfied Tenebrae is about to dismiss the movement as his mind playing tricks on him when the man's eyes flicker open. Gaze flickering around the room it eventually settles on Tenebrae who feels a knot of fear in his stomach.

"Tibur we need to get out of here now" he snaps, who for the first time notices the subject has awoken. Before he can react the man's hand smashes through the glass, the fluid gushing out. Panicking he tightly grasps the dagger attached to his belt and a stream of shadows envelops him, Tenebrae and the White Cleaver, shadowalking them back above ground and outside the shed.

"This is not good," he says flustered. "There's a goddamn cyborg Nazi down there just waiting to wreak havoc. What are we going to do Auron?"

"What we always do," Tenebrae replies calmly "We go back to our temples and pretend we know nothing of this. How would anybody know this is even linked to us Necromancers?"

"No. We can't just bury our heads in the sand like normal. We're talking about a living breathing Nazi down there. The German Sanctuary has a very strict law on this kind of thing, more so than any other Sanctuary for obvious reasons. There will be investigations and they will find out about our involvement. They're just itching for a reason to claim we're a bunch of magical cultists or terrorists and this is exactly the thing they'll use to get rid of our presence in Germany. Auron we have to stop him getting out."

"What do you purpose then?"

"I'll get in touch with the Temple, get them to send over some other Necromancers to help us in the meantime though we'll need to stop him from escaping." Tenebrae immediately realises what he is asking and turns to address the Cleaver.

"Cleaver you are to stop this man from leaving the laboratory at all costs. Kill or disable him whichever you deem necessary." Without hesitation or question the Cleaver marches down into the lab.

Testing all his mechanical enhancements are still functioning, Rudol von Stroheim surveys his surroundings. "Where am I? The last thing I remember is fighting against the Russians in Stalingrad and then I wake to find myself in a laboratory" He blasts a couple of holes in the wall testing his various firearms and analyses the equipment around him. Everything he can see is written in German but the letters have faded as if none of it has been used in years. "How long have I been unconscious for?" he ponders. All he knows is that to get some answers he's going to have to get the hell out of here. Those people that were watching him, who were they? Why did they run off? Satisfied that his body still functions properly he strides out into the main area of the lab, coming face to face with a armour clad figure standing still as a statue. "Who are you?" he barks, a demand more than a question but the figure doesn't respond. "I asked you who the hell you are!" he says, louder this time and takes a step forward. The figure responds immediately by drawing a large scythe from his back. "So that's how you want to do this is it?" Stroheim says smiling.

Quick as a flash the White Cleaver closes the distance between the two and brings his scythe arching upwards. Taken aback by this sheer speed of the attack Stroheim only just barely manages to twist his body out of the way. The next blow is just as quick but he's prepared this time and grabs the staff of the weapon, just below the head before it can strike him. A shotgun snakes out of his back and blasts the Cleaver in the face, sending him flying back. The blast doesn't manage to penetrate his helmet however and he lands gracefully on his feet, launching himself at Stroheim again. Yet more firearms are produced from within Stroheim's body and he opens fire the bullets ricocheting off the armour ineffectively. A Panzerschreck is the next weapon to be brought out and a rocket tears through the air between them, striking the Cleaver head on and sending him crashing into the far wall, a bloody gaping hole in his torso. Stroheim is surprised to see the Cleaver get back to his feet, the supposedly mortal wound rapidly healing over.

"AHA!. You must be one of those vampire drones created by Kars. Well don't you worry I've got something that will shred you to pieces." Tearing open his jacket to reveal his bare torso beneath, a machine gun protruding from his abdomen. The White Cleaver, as impassive as ever, responds to the threat by twirling his scythe as if to say "bring it on". Flinging his arms out theatrically Stroheim let's loose with a barrage of bullets. The Cleaver has to time to respond as hundreds of 30mm bullets collide with him, completely bypassing his armour and driving him back with the sheer force of the rounds. "I'LL TURN YOU INTO SWISS CHEESE!" Stroheim screams, laughing manically as more and more chunks get torn out of the Cleaver's body. After a minute of constant fire he finally runs out of ammo and the Cleaver is barely being held together by loose strands of muscle and bone. Admiring his handiwork Stroheim retracts his torso gun thinking the battle is over and begins to button up his jacket. However when he looks back up he finds not a pulverised gooey mess of human body parts but the last of the horrific wounds being patched up by the Cleaver's regeneration.

"IMPOSSIBLE!! No vampire should be able to survive such a barrage," he says an expression of shock etched upon his face, quickly replaced with a sly grin. "Nevertheless, I may have underestimated your ability to sustain damage there is still one thing you undead monsters cannot survive." A pair of shoulder UV lights slide up from his soldiers. "Take this Vampire!" he screeches as an blast of ultra violet light illuminates the lab. The light blinds the Cleaver momentarily but his eyes adjust enough to be able to make out the shape of his opponent. Keeping his head down he runs forward, using the light to his own advantage to make himself harder to see. Stroheim notices him only at the last second and far too late to be able to do anything as the scythe comes swinging across. It effortlessly slices through his midsection, cutting off the power to the lights and sending his upper body clattering to the floor. Stroheim looks up helplessly at the White Cleaver who winds up for another swing. But this cyborg has one more trip up his sleeve.

He fires off his mechanical hand which latches itself onto the Cleaver's throat, it's fingers digging deep into it's neck. He reaches up with his hands to try and pull it off but the grip is far stronger than what he can manage, driving him backwards until it has him pinned against the wall. Stroheim drags himself forward with his remaining arm, pausing to grab the cleaver's scythe and stopping just short of where the White Cleaver is still struggling against the vice like grip of his dismembered hand. Clutching the scythe's shaft between his teeth he uses his arm to launch himself into the air, releasing the grip of his mechanical hand on the Cleaver's throat. As he does so he fires a blast of concentrated ultraviolet light through his eye, piercing through the Cleaver's primary motor cortex and disabling his ability to move. Transferring the scythe from his mouth to his hand, Stroheim swings it with all his might, aiming for the gap between the armour now revealed by the hand's removal. The blade easily cuts through the neck muscles and sinews, decapitating the White Cleaver.

Stroheim hits the floor hard and rolls along the floor, coming to rest against one of the disused machines. He sits there for a while, watching the Cleaver's body, unsure even now if he is actually dead. Finally satisfied of his victory he let's out a deep breath before letting out his iconic cry.

Winner: Rudol von Stroheim

Expert's Opinion []

Stroheim won because of the sheer numbers of options he had in order to combat his opponent. The White Cleaver was only able to compete at a close range and while his high regeneration was normally enough allow him to close the distance against Stroheim he struggled. Furthermore Stroheim's abdominal machine gun and immense physical strength gave him the ability to decapitate or utterly obliterate the White Cleaver, the only two ways he can be put down.

Battle vs. Frank Horrigan (by Killer-Crimson12)[]

The Enclave Oil Rig...

Alarms flashed bright red and screeching sirens were blaring throughout the Enclave Oil Rig, alongside the loud footsteps of metallic boots striking the steel ground.

It was clear that the Enclave's greatest base was under attack but from what you may ask? Well, as it turned out, The SS had managed to break into the Oil Rig in hopes of obtaining any information from the organization. But of course, they had a ton of armored American grunts to mow through in order to get what they wanted.

A plethora of armed Enclave soldiers made their way through a large hallway while on the other end of a group of armed SS Members was currently taking aim at the approaching soldiers before firing at the approaching troopers.

Gunshots could also be heard throughout the base as Enclave Soldiers fought off the members of the invading SS as the firefight seemed dead even.

However, it wasn't long before a loud noise began to echo throughout the metal walls of the Oil Rig.

The Enclave realized what was going on as they all stepped aside while SS members were confused to what was going on. However, it wasn't long before a pair of red eyes illuminated from the dark end of the hallway as a towering twelve foot-tall behemoth of a man came marching into their sights, cladded in a set of dark green armor. Al of the SS Members' eyes widened with horror upon seeing this hulking brute standing before them, glaring into their souls with those lifeless red lenses.

"Nazi Scum... You bastards have some guts breaking in here so why don't you allow me to rip them out for you." Frank Horrigan growled, cracking his knuckles. Despite fear overtaking them, The SS refused to lose the battle as the soldiers kept firing no matter what. Sadly for the platoon of soldiers, the gunfire merely ricocheted off of the metal frame of Horrigan's armor as he was more annoyed rather than harmed by the gunfire. Horrigan immediately dashed forward, at speeds that were incredible for a brute his size as he grabbed onto the heads of one of the attacking SS Trooper before crushing it with a tight grip.

The many Nazi troops all gasped with horror as Frank effortlessly tossed the now headless carcass aside as if it were a mere piece of trash with his soulless red eyes still fixated on the platoon of terrified SS members.

"Nein! Nein! It's not working, the bullets merely bounce off of that armor!" One soldier cried out loud.

"This is the end for us!" Another SS member wailed. But just as it seemed as their mission would come to a horrific bloody end, a loud booming was heard from behind the troop.

"Step aside men, this is MY fight!" The voice rang out as a new fighter had entered the battlefield. Marching in with a big stream of confidence was a six-foot tall man with a blonde-flat top and blue eyes, dressed traditional Nazi military clothing with a cybernetic monocle covering his right eye.

"So, this is the Enclave's greatest weapon, hm? Well, what could I have expected other than a dumpster with legs! HAHAHAA!" laughed Rudol Von Stroheim while on the other end, Frank clenched both his fists from the absolute nerve on this man for openly mocking him.

"You have a lot of gall talking to one The United State's greatest achievements in evolution, as far as I know, you're nothing compared to me..." Frank growled while Stroheim merely smirked before entering another fit of laughter.

"BRRRRRRAHAHAHAHAAAA! Oh, don't make me laugh! For you see, I am the true pinnacle of German Science and there's little to compare for we are the greatest in the world!" Stroheim laughed once more before extending his right arm in the air, performing his fatherland's salute. Frank's eyes narrowed from beneath his mask as raised his left arm, a large knife extend forward as a result.

"I don't have time for this. Allow me to make your death a quick one..." Horrigan growled before barrelling at Stroheim at speeds that were surprisingly high for a giant his size. This turn, however, cued Stroheim to make his own move as he ripped open his jacket as a large machine gun extended right out of his abdomen in the process as the Nazi Colonel continued laughing like a hyena.

"FOOLISH AMERICAN, DIDN'T YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID!? GERMAN SCIENCE IS ZA GREATEST IN ZA WORLD!!!" Stroheim screamed at the top of his lungs before a barrage of gunfire was sent Horrigan's way as the fire-fight between both The Enclave and The SS continued. Thanks to immensely durable armor Frank bore, the bullets didn't little to impede the hulking behemoth as he lunged forward while extending his knife, in hopes of skewering the colonel's head. Stroheim, however, saw this attack coming from a mile away as he immediately stepped back while the knife was stabbed right into the metal ground beneath him. Frank growled with anger before feeling Stroheim's boot slam right against his face, striking with enough force to make the twelve-foot giant stumble back. A big toothy grin formed on Stroheim's face as he continued to gun down Horrigan with streams of hot lead.

"BRRRRRRRRAAHAHAHAHAAA! FEEL THE FULL FRONTAL WRATH OF PURE GERMAN PERFECTION!" Stroheim cackled while Frank growled with a mixture of anger and annoyance before withdrawing his wrist-mounted plasma canon and began to fire. Thanks to the superior fire-power that the plasma canon held, Stroheim was easily knocked back when he was struck right in the chest with a plasma shot. This resulted in Stroheim being thrown right into a wall while Frank turned the tables by pelting him with a barrage of plasma fire. However, this did not deter the nazi colonel, as he managed to spring forward with a burst of energy while extending his hand forward. Much to Frank's surprise, Stroheim's hand came flying right off of his arm before grabbing a hold of the mutant cyborg's neck.

Frank, somehow struggled to breathe as Stroheim's metallic hand clamped down onto his neck as the cybernetic nazi colonel proceeded to spring forward, slamming a fist right into the giant's abdomen. The mutant cyborg stumbled backwards before retaliating by grabbing Stroheim with his right arm while he used his other to yank off his hand and crush it with ease. The Enclave's Weapon proceeded to lift the Nazi right off the ground before viciously slamming him around as Stroheim's body was throttled about like a ragdoll.  Rudol did his best to break free from Horrigan's grip as he proceeded to launch a concentrated blast of light right from his eye, striking Horrigan square in the face. The attack managed to knock Horrigan backward, temporarily blinding him while Stroheim broke free from the super mutant's grasp.

"HA! You may have taken my hand but I'll still be able to tear you down bit by bit!" Stroheim announced, striking another boot into Horrigan's stomach. The Mutant Cyborg managed to recover from the blow as he let loose a low growl of annoyance before retaliating with a shoulder check that launched the cyborg up into the air as he continued his assault with his knife aiming for his chest. However, despite being airborne, Stroheim quickly grabbed onto Frank's wrist before pulling himself forward to unleash a swift blow to the face of the mutant cyborg. This provided The colonel to flip backwards with the giant stunned once more before two submachineguns appeared from his shoulder with all three of his guns hailing a great stream of bullets onto the mutant cyborg. Much like last time, these attacks merely irritated Frank as he proceeded to charge forward at speeds similar to an enraged bull.

"NAZI BASTARD!" Frank boomed before bull-rushing the Nazi colonel as both their bodies came slamming right through a near steel wall with relative ease. Stroheim's body struck the floor with an audible thud before swiftly evading being crushed beneath the mutant's boot. Frank began to unleash a barrage of plasma fire once more, this time it managed to strike Stroheim with each blast overwhelming the SS Major in the process. However, despite the hefty damage inflicted on him, Stroheim refused to give in as an RPG sprouted from his shoulder while his lips cracked into a sadistic grin.

"TRY THIS ONE OUT FOR SIZE!" Stroheim said with a sadistic cackle before firing at the large mutant. But rather than jumping out of the way to safety, Frank managed to snag the rocket right out of the air with one of his bare hands before he giving out a low devilish chuckle.

"Not so fast..." Horrigan laughed before easily crushing the rocket into a useless hunk of metal. Stroheim's eyes widened with a mixture of shock and horror before Frank lurched forward, stabbing his wrist-mounted knife right into his arm resulting in the Nazi colonel's arm being completely torn off. However, even when losing an arm, the major was still standing as he refused to let this American brute to take his life. Rudol acted quickly by pulling out  a Stielhandgranate and proceeded to look Horrigan dead in the eye.

"I WON'T FALL THAT EASILY, AMERICAN!" Stroheim yelled, popping off the security lid and pulling the knob with his own teeth. Stroheim proceeded to reel his body backwards before tossing the stick grenade right into Frank's direction. The grenade went off in a violent explosion that engulfed the giant as Stroheim smirked with glee, hoping that would be the end of Horrigan. Sadly though, emerging from the smoke was a large green hand that snatched Stroheim by the neck before he could land on the ground. Horrigan proceeded to pull him in, watching the Nazi struggle to break free from his grip, taking immense joy in the SS Leader's suffering.

"HAHAHAHA! You are an idiot if you that was going to kill me. Might as well have a good laugh before killing you." Horrigan laughed, his grip around Stroheim's neck growing tighter and tighter before, with one mighty tug, Stroheim's head was ripped right off of his neck before being crushed like a grape in the hands of the cybernetically enhanced mutant. Stroheim's decapitated struck the floor as Frank looked down at it, showing a complete lack of empathy or remorse for the man he had killed, going so far as to unapologetically kick it against the wall. The Mutant Cyborg cracked his own neck, letting out a low sigh of content having killed the Colonel in cold blood.

"Let this be a lesson to all those who try to double-cross the Enclave," Horrigan growled before turning his back on the headless corpse of Stroheim, returning to the firefight between his squad and the SS.

"Anyone who dares defy us gets crushed. Hope your men realize this soon..."

WINNER: Frank Horrigan

Expert's Opinion[]

Stroheim was a powerful fighter and definitely had a few key advantages in the fight ranging from superior agility, better survivability since he's survived being cleaved in half and was still conscious, and more weapon variety with his numerous trinkets that could help him in a pinch.

Sadly for Stroheim, Frank crushed him in strength and durability alone. To make matters worse, Frank's armor was nigh impenetrable and his Plasma cannon was on infinite fuel source thanks to the Microfusion reactor built inside of his body. With all that being said, Frank Horrigan proves that German Science isn't as great as what Stroheim made it up to be.
