Deadliest Fiction Wiki

Piglins are a species of pig-like humanoids native to the Nether. Unlike the other mobs in the Nether, piglins seem to be the only ones to have some kind of civilization, possessing a permanent settlement in bastions, a simple bartering system based around gold, and leadership in the form of piglin brutes. In order to survive, piglins hunt the boar-like hoglins for their meat and do not seem to have any kind of agriculture.

Piglins place a high value on gold, it being the only metals that appear in the Nether, using it in most of their weapons and armor. When a piece of gold ore is mined or a chest opened in their vicinity they attack the offender, wishing they protect their possessions. Though typically hostile to humans on first encounter, they can be pacified by equipping a piece of golden armor.

In terms of weapons, piglins use swords and crossbows, though brutes are the exception as they use axes instead. They can sometimes seen wearing pieces of golden armor.

When brought outside of the Nether through a Nether portal, piglins become zombified. Piglins seem to be aware of this as they run away from Nether portals. Normal piglins appear to fear their zombie counterpart, running away when if they get too close, despite the fact that zombified piglins are only hostile if attacked. They also seem to fear blue soul fire of burning soul sand, though as to why is unknown.
