Listen, he's coming for us. We're both gonna die! You'll see! He's after S.T.A.R.S. members! There's no escape!
— Brad Vickers to Jill Valentine

The Nemesis T-Type is the primary antagonist of the survival horror video game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and its remake. A bioengineered super soldier, Nemesis relentlessly hunts down its assigned targets.

Nemesis was created by the unscrupulous Umbrella Corporation, an international company specializing in biological weaponry. It was part of the Tyrant Project, an initiative aiming to engineer super soldiers for sale to the world's militaries. Umbrella faced a setback when S.T.A.R.S., an elite police unit from Raccoon City in the Midwestern United States, stumbled upon a Tyrant Project facility and successfully destroyed one of Umbrella's creations.

The victory was short-lived, as Raccoon City fell victim to an outbreak of the t-Virus, another creation of Umbrella, transforming the majority of its populace into zombies. Seeing opportunity in the chaos, Umbrella released various bioweapons, including Nemesis, into Raccoon City to gather valuable combat data. Nemesis was assigned a unique mission: to eliminate the surviving members of S.T.A.R.S. in retribution for their interference. At the time, only two S.T.A.R.S. members, Brad Vickers and Jill Valentine, remained in the city.

Nemesis swiftly tracked down and killed Brad, but not before he warned Jill about Nemesis. Nemesis ceaselessly pursued Jill as she desperately tried to escape the city. Jill led Nemesis to a paramilitary facility where she exposed it to corrosive chemicals, causing its body to break down and mutate uncontrollably. In a climactic battle, Jill shot Nemesis with an experimental railgun and finished it off with a revolver, destroying the monster for good.
