Being the likely time and place were many of the Greek myths came about, Mycenaean Greece was a from of ancient Hellan golden age. Being a time of rare unification for the usually quite divided peoples of ancient Greece, the Mycenaeans lived roughly in between 1600-1100 BCE. They were a warlike people, with the Mycenaean warriors battling the more primitive peoples to the north and west, the men of the Anatolian coast, and at times even the Hittite empire. They fell under unknown means, with many different answers to how they fell having been put forwards, though it is still officially unknown.
