Lin Beifong is the police chief of Republic City and the daughter of
Toph Beifong. When the Avatar Korra came to the city, Police chief Lin was initially distrustful of her. She eventually came to trust her during
Amon's reign of terrorism on Republic City. To help Tenzin and his family escape, Lin attacked some of Amon's airships that were attacking Tenzin and his family as they escaped on the family's sky bison. She was captured by Amon who proceeded to remove her bending. Her bending was eventually returned to her by Korra by means of energy bending.
