Kid Eternity, real name Christopher "Kit" Freeman, is a superhero that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. An Agent of Order, he posses the ability to summon any historical figure by yelling "eternity". Throughout his career, Kid Eternity has unkowingly worked as an Agent of Chaos before turning to the Lords of Order and joining the Teen Titans. He is the estranged brother of Captain Marvel, Jr..
Much of Kit's early history is unkown since he suffered from amnesia due to a head injury and left unconscious at the side of the road. There he was found and taken elderly ship captain and sexual predator, who Kit would mistake for his grandfather, who took Kit onto his boat for his own ends. The boat was soon sunk as part of a scheme created by the Lords of Chaos, who disguised themselves as angels and took Kit's soul to a recreation of heaven. The Lords lied to Kit, telling him that he was accidentally killed before his time and that he would be brought back to life with magical abilities to maintain order on Earth, including the ability to summon the dead to aid him in battle, and dubbed him Kid Eternity. In turth, the souls he was now able to summon were in actuality demons in disguise. On his adventures, Kid Eternity was accompanied by Mister Keeper, one of the Lords of Chaos and the supposed angel that made the mistake of killing Kit before his time.
Kid Eternity was eventually killed by Mordru, who sought to kill all Agents of both Order and Chaos, but later came back to life when Brother Blood ripped open a portal between life and death, allowing him to return to the realm of the living. Shortly after, he joined the Teen Titans on recommendation of Beast Boy. With their aid, Kit discovered the true nature behind his powers and origin, causing him to rebel against the Lords of Chaos. Angered, Mister Keeper stripped him of his powers, killing him the process. Sister Sentry, a Lord of Order, took pity on Kit and ressurected him. He once again possed the ability to summon souls, this time for real, but with three weaknesses. The souls couldn't remain on Earth for longer than 66 seconds, he could only summon 'good' people, and repeated summoning took a toll on his body.
It was this latter weakness that would come to cost Kid Eternity dearly, as one day the Calculator captured and forced him to repeatedly summon the soul of his dead son Marvin White before his body finally gave out, causing the hero to die for the fourth and final time.
