Grimlocks are a species of blind subbterranean humanoids from the fantasy tabletop RPG Dungeons and Dragons. They are native too many crystal spheres within the world. Grimlocks are described as brutes who see with blind sight and who prey upon humans travel into the their underground realms. The origin of the Grimlocks is unknown, though many theorize that they were once humans who were forced underground by some natural disaster or magical force, and who over the generations of idol worship and living within pure darkness were devolved into extremely brutal and eyeless man eaters.
While savage and often made into slaves by powerful factions within the Underdark, like the Dark Elves and Mind Flayers, Grimlocks were able to form a strong life bond with other Grimlocks, forming hunting bands similar too a Thri-Kreen clutch. However, Grimlocks were horrendously xenophobic and hateful towards all other species with the Underdark, and often preyed upon unwitting humans.
