Goblin Slayer is the protagonist of the light novel of the same name and its various adaptations. As his name implies, Goblin Slayer is a silver-rank adventurer who carries a fierce hatred for goblins and only accepts quests related to them. He is very pragmatic, using simple equipment that works best in goblin-invested caves and often uses simple tactics that make the most out of his limited resources.
Goblin Slayer grew up in a village before it was attacked by a goblin raiding party. Hiding in an attic, he watched as the goblins ravaged the village. Once he came out, he was attacked by a group of goblins that had stayed behind. Just as he was about to be killed, Burglar saved him and took the boy under his wing.
Once he reached adulthood, Goblin Slayer adopted his name and left Burglar’s care. Although he would often work alone, Goblin Slayer eventually gained a party who would assist him in his quest of ridding the world of goblins. With their aid, he took on several dangerous goblin leaders, including Goblin Lord and the Goblin Paladin.
