Eric Bloodaxe is a Servant from the mobile game Fate/Grand Order. He is a Berserker-class Servant and Viking king known for his violent rise to power and demonic axe, which earned him his epitath. Even as a Heroic Spirit, he is always watched over by his witch-wife Gunnhild. He is based on the real life Viking king of the same name.
Eric ascended the throne by murdering his brothers with the aid of Gunnhild. His rule was tyrannical and bloody as his rise, leading to his deposement three years after it started. Afterwards, Eric escaped to England where he became a petty lord. After his death, Gunnhild composted a poem in her husband's honor.
Having left his mark of history, Eric's essence ascended to the Throne of Heroes and became an Heroic Spirit. Eric would eventually be summoned into the Third Singularity as a Berserker-class Servant and alligned himself with Blackbeard's crew. Ritsuka Fujimaru encountered Eric on his mission to restore human history and beat him with the aid of Mash Kyrielight and Francis Drake, forcing him to retreat. Ritsuka's party faced Eric a second time while battling Blackbeard's crew, killing him. Afterwards, Ritsuka summoned him to aid them in their mission to restore history.
