The Ender Dragon is a dragon that dwells within the End and one of the two boss mobs in Minecraft next to the Wither.
Being a dragon, the Ender Dragon possess a pair of wings that enable him to fly. It is also capable of exhaling a harmful purple fog which it can fire as a ball of gas. It is healed by Ender Crystals that stand on top of the obsidian pillars that surround the main island's exit portal structure. It will also try to swoop down and slam its body into its target.
Once it is slain, the Ender Dragon flies towards the portal structure and slowly ascends, its wings and body becoming more tattered until it disappears, while beams of light erupt from its centre before exploding. Shortly after, the portal activates and a dragon egg appears on the top of the portal structure.
Should one wish to resurrect the Ender Dragon, they would have to place four Ender Crystals on each side of the portal structure. After the crystals are placed, the tops of the obsidian pillars explode, resummoning the crystals that have been destroyed and the Ender Dragon respawns.
