Deidara is an antagonist of the shonen action fantasy comedy manga Naruto and its anime adaptation. During his time working for Iwagakure, he was a member of the Explosion Corps. After defecting from the village, he was forced into Akatsuki, becomming its youngest member. There, Deidara was partnered with Sasori until the latter's death, and later with Obito Uchiha (under the disguise of Tobi) before his own death. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Deidara was one of the shinobi to be ressurected by Kabuto Yakushi.
During his time as an Iwagakure shinobi, Deidara came to be a pupil under Ōnoki the Third Tsuchikage. Though praised highly for his clay sculptures, Deidara's desire to reach even greater heights in his art resulted with him stealing one of his village's kinjutsu that allows one to knead their chakra into substances. Using explosive clay to take out his pursuers, Deidara found something uniquely beautiful about the brief yet bright existence of explosions. Since then, he became a missing-nin and became a demolition expert for hire.
His expertise eventually gained the attention of the Akatsuki, who send Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori to recruit him. Deidara refused, but then accepted a challange from Itachi on the condition that Akatsuki let him be if he won. However, Deidara was easily defeated by Itachi's Sharingan and begrudgingly joined the organisation. Though he came to accept the Akatsuki, Deidara remained resentful towards Itachi for humiliating him.
Deidara proved to be a great assest to the organization and completed many missions alongside Sasori, most notable of which was capturing the Kazekage of Sunagakure and jinchūriki Gaara and extracting the One-Tail. During this mission, Sasori was killed by Sakura Haruno and his grandmother Chiyo, so Deidara was given Tobi as a replacement partner. Shortly after extracting the Four-Tails, Deidara learned that Sasuke Uchiha, younger brother of Itachi, was close by and was being hunted by a group of Konoha shinobi. Knowing that he killed Orochimaru, a former Akatsuki member whom he wanted to kill himself, Deidara attacked Sasuke while Tobi distracted the Konoha shinobi. Deidara was eventually defeated and turned himself into a bomb in a last ditch effort to kill Sasuke, but this attempt failed.
During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Deidara was one of the shinobi that was resurrected by Kabuto Yakushi's Impure World Reincarnation technique to fight in his army of undead shinobi. He was later captured by Sai and allowed to return to the afterlife once the Impure World Reincarnation expired.Battles here were deemed to be unfair or otherwise not in accordance with wiki standards, and have been removed from the statuses of the warriors and displayed below.
