Come my friends. 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
The primary antagonist faction of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Cordis Die aims to destroy western capitalism, primarily the United States, and start a world of anarchism. They were once a political movement in 2014, set to end dictatorships in countries like Iran through social media with their leader "Odysseus" or "Ulysses", who was really Raul Menendez, a famed drug dealer. In the 2020s, they set their sights to destroy the superpowers of the world such as China and the USA though acts of terror with their well funded operations from Menendez's arms and drug dealing and other sources. Among the armed civilians and mercenaries they had, Cordis Die was well funded with the best gear they could get along with trained soldiers and rogue military allies from various agencies like the ISI, Pakistan's premier counter intelligence unit. Their various attacks has allowed them to cripple governments and to attack like Los Angeles and the USS Barack Obama.

Expert's Opinion

While the League of Shadows' dedicated training and skill was a devastating factor, Cordis Die was simply too well-armed for them to take this fight. Bane's tactical and fighting skills were definitely a mighty barrier, but Menendez's charisma was more than enough to counter that. With the better leader and logistics, Cordis Die managed to take this fight.
