Blake Belladonna is one of the main protagonists of the animated web show RWBY. A former member of an activist organization that turned to violent extremism, Blake seeks to redeem herself by becoming a heroic Huntress.
Blake is a Faunus, a form of humanoid with a singular animal characteristic. Born in the island of Menagerie, an all-Faunus nation, Blake fell in with the White Fang, an extremist group dedicated to furthering Faunus rights in human kingdoms through the use of force. She eventually had a falling out with the terrorist organization, leading her to abandon Adam Taurus, her boyfriend and fellow White Fang member. Seeking a way to hide from her past, Blake would cover hide her Faunus trait and apply for Beacon Academy as a huntsman in training.
Following an initial training exercise, Blake is inducted into team RWBY where she becomes a vital member of the team. Following a disaster partly caused by the White Fang, Blake is forced to confront Adam, where she flees from her ex-boyfriend at the cost of her teammate Yang's arm. Blake would then flee back to Menagerie alongside Adam, where she would protect her parents from an assassination attempt by the White Fang alongside Sun, her close friend. With renewed confidence, Blake returns to the mainland to rejoin her team and travel towards Atlas, dedicated to the protection of her people and her team.
