Led by the reincarnated Griffith, the Band of the Falcon is an army sworn to his service out of a mix of prophecy and fanatical loyalty. Comprised of both humans and Apostles, it serves as the army of Falconia, both protecting the citizenry from various threats and doing battle with the invading Kushan army in the aftermath of the downfall of Midland.
The band was first formed during the liberation of Shet, when Griffith, accompanied by Nosferatu Zodd, was met by Locus, Grunbeld, and Rakshas, who each pledged loyalty to him for their own reasons. Racking up victory after victory in their war against the Kushan, the Band became a group of unlikely heroes to the people of Midland, especially in the wake of Griffith's rescue of Princess Charlotte and their breaking of the siege of Vritannis. This status, along with the backing of both Charlotte and the Pontiff of the Holy See, quickly elevated Griffith to head of the anti-Kushan Holy See Alliance.
The war ultimately culminated in a final battle with Ganishka, leader of the Kushan who used a manmade behelit to ascend into an eldritch monstrosity, and the Band clashed with Kushan War Demons, working hand in hand with the humans that once feared them to turn the tide. Alongside Zodd, Griffith faced Ganishka personally, using an ambush by the Skull Knight to tear open the fragile border between the physical and astral worlds, and created the city of Falconia from amidst the ruins of battle.
